Actual Good Country Music
I'm not a country music expert and I think most of it is trash. But there are some actually good songs and I'd love to discover/share some hidden gems.
Here's my contribution:

I'm usually introduced to good country music through Television or movies. I don't voluntarily listen to the genre much but there are some classic oldies. From the little that I've heard, the genre really shines when it's doing story telling.
I 'discovered' this one myself, Bob Dylan made a country album titled 'Nashville Skyline' back in 1969 and it has a beautiful duet rendition of his own song 'Girl From The North Country' with Johnny Cash. The whole album is pretty mesmerizing due to the stark change in the voice Dylan used.

Breaking Bad introduced me to this next one, 'El Paso' by Marty Robbins from 1959. Breaking Bad's last episode was titled 'Felina' and it's pretty cool how well the story in the song ties into the plot of BB. There's a great video on Vimeo that shows the entire course of the show played to the song, I'll link it.
The Breaking Bad mashup, obviously there are spoilers here if you haven't seen the series, still, a very fun watch even if you haven't seen it. The Creator's Vimeo page.

From the same album as the last song, 'Big Iron' by Marty Robbins is another story telling song that's pretty infectious. The whole album is good if you like these sort of story telling tracks.

'Casey's Last Ride' was an outro song for one of the episodes of True Detective's first season. It's by Kris Kristofferson and it's great.

Johnny Cash has several classics, of course, though I'm not sure how country his stuff is really considered. Regardless, this is one of my favorites of his:
if you want modern examples of good country music, check out the "alt-country" genre that started to gain steam in the 1990s - son volt, early Wilco, The Old 97's (my favorite band), Whiskeytown, early Jayhawks....
Also pretty good is a guy named John Fullbright. He was nominated for a grammy a few years ago for best Americana album, and happens to be a relative of mine.
Here's my favorite of his
Marty Robbins is good shit. Marty Robbins was my dad's favorite singer, and the first song I learned the words to was El Paso. The Old 97s did a cover of it that was used on the King of the Hill soundtrack
Speaking of Hank Williams, his grandson is pretty good. Way more talent than his daddy, Hank Jr.
