By s y Go To PostStep your torrent game upI only use torrents for my Linux distros like everyone else
Having touched torrents in a long time, wouldn't know where to start these days tbh
By NinjaFridge Go To PostThanks. I got my key from reddit, do you know if that makes a difference?Nah. They just wipe the association for the key and one hardware configuration for another. You usually don't have an issue unless you change motherboards within two years or so.
So I tried the old key and it didn't work. I tried to autheicate it via telephone but it says you can't authenticate Office 2013 that way anymore. I did find a number to use but It couldn't validate the installation ID. Guess thats what you gotta deal with when you buy off reddit.

Sorry, man. I think someone gave you a bum key if they couldn't validate it.

I assume you went through the stuff suggested here? https://support.office.com/en-us/article/Using-product-keys-with-Office-365-Office-2016-or-Office-2013-12a5763a-d45c-4685-8c95-a44500213759

Or, if you don't need the desktop applications, try out Office Online: https://products.office.com/en-us/office-online/documents-spreadsheets-presentations-office-online
It looks like it's free, but I don't know for sure.

By reilo Go To PostIt's $6.99/mo or $69.99/yr for 365. What are you doing?Office Online looks to be different from Office 365? There is also the one-time purchase for $150 that gets you the 2016 Word, Excel, Powerpoint, and Powerpoint desktop apps forever.
Did some research and confirmed that Office Online is indeed free. It has some limitations that the desktop versions don't, but it doesn't appear to be anything needed for general use.

I've got an office 365 license and it lets you do 4 installs or someshit for ~$10/mo ... not bad.
Is there any way to completely download a site? That way if it goes down, I can still access it?
Eg: I want to DL https://www.posemaniacs.com/tools/handviewer/

But that won't work for every site. There's stuff that you won't be able to get if it is some kind of dynamic content or something since they can't pull all data from a database and shit.
The waybackmachine is often used for the purpose of archiving a site. For the thing you are talking about, try this link: https://web.archive.org/web/20171116224030/http://www.posemaniacs.com/tools/handviewer/
How does something like this happen?https://motherboard.vice.com/en_us/article/xw5yd7/how-iphone-iboot-source-code-leaked-on-github
A low-level Apple employee with friends in the jailbreaking community took code from Apple while working at the company’s Cupertino headquarters in 2016, according to two people who originally received the code from the employee. Motherboard has corroborated these accounts with text messages and screenshots from the time of the original leak and has also spoken to a third source familiar with the story.
Nerds are the worst, jfc. Did he really think he'd get away with it?
It’s been in the works for nearly a year and Google’s great ad-pocalypse is now upon us. On Thursday, the Chrome browser will begin to automatically filter out ads that don’t meet certain quality standards. Your browsing experience is about to change a little bit. Here’s what you need to know.https://gizmodo.com/google-s-big-ad-blocking-update-comes-to-chrome-tomorro-1822992036
By reilo Go To Posthttps://gizmodo.com/google-s-big-ad-blocking-update-comes-to-chrome-tomorro-1822992036Super interesting.
I 99% use an adblocker to just tune out the obnoxiousness that was happening (as well as auto playing videos. Fuck you ESPN).
This would solve a lot of issues and make the web a much better place.
It would also raise the bar significantly for third party browsers though :|
I watched this one earlier
I'll never buy a non Google Android phone again, but I was curious on the improvements. Looks to be iterative over the 8. That folding phone (Galaxy X?) is the one to look out for.

By giririsss Go To PostCmon breh. Onscreen keyboards became easier to use than physical ones on phones a long time ago.Not for me. I even use something like Swype on my tablet. Still don't type as fast.
e: it helps that the Blackberry Priv's keyboard is also touch sensitive so you can use gestures on it, which helps a lot with auto-correct/complete and also lets me scroll up and down without having to reach back up to the screen

DirecTV bill has hit a point where it's time to really look at cutting it. Is YouTube TV any good? The front runner in my mind is Vue. I know Kibner streams, if anybody has any impressions of YouTube TV or Sling, I'd be grateful to hear it.
I've come across this article https://www.techhive.com/article/3211536/streaming-services/best-tv-streaming-services.html
It was updated yesterday. They say YouTube TV has dethroned Vue as the best option.

Trying out Vue, Elite package. There's definitely a dip in PQ from Directv feed to this. And it started stuttering immediately once my wife got on her computer and browsing. I have 250/10 on the connection, so I'm guessing it's my router? It's a backup that has surprisingly worked well once my primary went out during Harvey. I can't have the TV feed stuttering tho once light browsing is brought in..
By reilo Go To PostThat's dope, but damn.Basically. The travel mug looks great too.
I cut cable TV 4 years ago. The only thing i miss is the food network. And even then you can get most of it foree on youtube, and there's https://www.twitch.tv/food
