Don't understand how these lads with millions riding on it how they don't check EVERYTHING they put in thier bodies.
By unknown Go To PostDam HBO is done with boxing after this year. Grew up on watching tons of fights there.good im tired of the shilling
By Kidjr Go To PostOn what basis? Klitschko is an ATG heavyweight, how on earth is Ortiz better than Klitschko.
Wlad was coming off a loss in which he looked awful against Fury, he also looked pretty lackluster vs Bryant Jennings before that, Jennings was steamrolled by Ortiz. He's an ATG sure, but the guy who fought Fury, Jennings and Joshua was a shell of his former self and not better than Ortiz at that stage in his career.
By KP Go To PostWeird fight that. Thought Smith looked pretty robotic but seemed to be hurting groves easily
groves was busier but callum really is top tier in terms of skillset. he just timed groves beautifuly.
By Kidjr Go To PostInfact rewatching this fight, Callum gave Groves a lesson, just countered groves all night.
Groves was landing plenty of clean work but Smiths timing killed him. Better than I originally gave him credit for.
Calling himself the Gypsy King and being a general bit of a tit, he's very few people's mans over here
Hope he batters Wilder tho to see how you react

I should've linked :40 and on where he was trashing your king

See thats the thing I've never got. Why is it a USA Vs UK thing? I don't understand the thing where people only support fighters from their country. I'll be rooting for Usyk over Bellew, Loma over Campbell and if Andrew Golota dragged his ass out of retirement to fight AJ id be first man in the building waving a Poland flag.

By Kidjr Go To PostBecause ortiz is soooooooooooo much better than klitschko, parker, povetkin, whyte and takamSorry I'm late responding, but aside from VK, yeah he is better than the guys AJ has fought thus far. Why even throw Takam in there?
If he fought Ortiz and washed him I'd be the first to admit how wrong I was. If Ortiz went the distance he'd never hear the end from Wilder.

If AJ was an American I'd still be down on him.

AJ is the A side of the deal though. So it's up to him where they fight. Why wouldn't he wanna fight in the UK? Why would you take 3 belts into someone else backyard and the land of adalaide byrds

Pov was winning the fight before the ko and I believe the judges had AJ up by multiple rounds.
By DY_nasty Go To PostBecause guys are taking paycuts to fight him and he's still shook
Who's taking a paycut? You cant be talking about wilder who's biggest pay to date isnt more than 3 million.

Call it what you want, he's holds three belts, is going to fill an entire arena and have the whole country glued to the screen. Wilder doesnt command anything close to that level of presence in the US. I'm the champion you have to TAKE the belts from me.
Dont see how people think AJs team doesnt want the fight when SHelley wont even meet to tell them what they want. Joke.
No one will ever know the full story of course. Eddie is always gonna say how much it's the other sides fault and vice versa.
I personally don't think Eddie wanted it in September and negotiated as such. AJ def wants it now though so Eddie gonna have to deliver. Although the fight will lose 90% of the appeal if Fury beats him so not convinced it happens.

I thought DAZNs first card was pretty alright last week, if I think about the content I think I'd sign up (but I mean fuck me I pay for box nation so what do I know).
Sooooooooooooooooooooooooo hyped for Ritson tonight, love it when you find out whether someone is being overhyped or is the real deal. Tonight it's Ritsons time to prove himself. Not sure how highly I rate him personally but pretty sure the whole of Newcastle will be watching.
Probably pull an all nighter and stay up to watch Bud, right hook at the weigh in looked viscious. I feel like Bud really doesnt like Benavidez, so i'm looking forward to him being dismantled by body shots.

I think ritson is probably the real deal. Don't think we'll find out tonight even if he wasn't. Had tickets to this card as well. But opted against travelling literally the length of the country.
Martin Bakole fight on channel 5 should be good too.

Mate I was literally thinking to do the same thing but non of my friends are fans like that.
Who’s everyone top five out of interest?
1. Terrance Crawford
2. Vasyl lomachenko
3. Usyk
4. Mikey Garcia
5. Inoue

Lol at Andre Ward calling Simion a step up and not a showcase fight for Stevenson. Yeah a 37yo who fought nobody outside of losing to Scott Quigg and Lee Selby is a step up.
Just admit you pulled strings for your fighter to look good on an ESPN card asshole.

Benavidez should take it as a huge W that he made it through this fight. His stock goes higher in the loss tbh.
I hate interviewing fighters after they get KTFO. He probably doesn't even know what punch put him down.
beautiful
genius

By Kidjr Go To PostRItson isnt going to make it through this.
Haven't seen it but everyones option I respect say it was a clear UD for Patera.
I did watch the Bakole fight and witnessed one of the worst corner moments in boxing. Bakole hurt his shoulder in the 8th and at the end of the round asked to be pulled out, that fat jock cunt Billy Nelson refused and sent his fighter out with one arm and proceeded to take several brutal shots next 2 rounds before being stopped. Awful.

Yep, if I'm going to be hyper critical it showed Ritson as being awfully one dimensional. He said he was hurt in the 5th from a body shot that he just couldnt recover from and his stabbing jab was doing damage but he was still hunting Patera down. Problem is he's so used to walking through opponents he just in the pocket and loaded up on single power shots. Patera was able to see them coming a mile off and had the defence to deal with it. After Ritson let off a few single shots he'd be open to the counter and just got picked off all night, towards the end Patera started wobble Ritson and was saved by the bell once or twice. Just thought the match showed a lack of imagination, no shot variety, didnt try to create angles with footwork, no feints, didnt double up on the jab or even set stuff up off the jap or even really counter. He did some good things but dont think Patera was ever really in trouble.
Crawford is tooo good men, Benavidez did really well and dont think its any shame in losing to the currently the best boxer on the planet. Just systematically breaks down his opponents everytime, think he gets caught a little too much and took him a little while to figure out he had to roll away but those body shots man. No matter what pace these guys start at they cant keep that up, by round 7 he gasping for air and Terrance was then able to really impose himself. Good performance, especially as he's still adjusting to the weight imo, good to see his power carried through.
But he can be hit, and those shots from spence will really feel like a ton of bricks the one fight I'm praying gets made and a true 50/50
Spence vs Crawford is the fight I've wanted foreeeeever.
It might be too big for ESPN? That's a PVP fight if there ever was one.
Do we even know what the Top Rank/ESPN/Crawford deal is?

Considering Crawford did 2.6 million views on ESPN streaming for his last fight I'm going to say yes.
Welterweight always been a money division, however, I really think DAZN deal might be the end of PPV.
They are paying him $365 million for 11 fights... Crawford is on ESPN... Joshua (granted not a household name in USA) but also on DAZN.
I'm not really sure how anyone can justify charging $80.00 for a fight anymore.
Frank Warren card was banter.
DAZN card was OK but nothing spectacular.
Wilder saying he wants a 60/40 split for the AJ fight loooooooooooool

absolute joke, i mean good for wilder, his name has skyrocketed since this whole back and forth started but its clear thats all he was trying to do if he thinks there is anyway in hell this should be a 60/40 to him fight.

Yeah DAZN was solid but nothing more. I hope they still go after the BJS fight.
