For me it was Halo 5. The game is just a great game and a return to greatness for the Franchise IMO.
By Dark PhaZe Go To PostFair enough, there's quite a few games I thought were 2015 titles that were actually 2014 myself.I guess I was just overly disappointed in my gaming lifeblood titles, wRPGs in 2015
Pillars was meh.. Bloodborne (not a wRPG but love the Souls games) was a letdown Fallout 4 was fun but felt like it showed it's hand too early in the game... Shadowrun I have yet to install because I kinda burnt myself out on Wasteland 2, Mad Max and Fallout 4...
And few good city sim games came out...
So that's where I am 2015... waiting on X-Com 2 now
I totally forgot about Arkham Knight, that's how shit it was. God bless my ability to repress bad memories
By KingGondo Go To PostBloodborne is my real GotY. Wonderful game.your goty is BB and you play Rocket League
Also had a lot of fun with Far Cry 4.
why are we not friends yet
I couldn't get access to a PS4 to play with everyone I knew in Destiny, and all I had was the struggle PS3 version for a bit. It sucked because I liked Destiny, flaws and all. :(
My GamesOTY are probably Majora's Mask 3D, Pokemon Rumble World, and Persona 4 Dancing All Night. Not a whole lot of games that were released that year were appealing to me whatsoever, even if I didn't think they were bad.

By Hitch Go To PostGrow Home is one of the worst games I've played this gen. What?
It is pretty simple and I could see how it could get repetitive but it is awesome for what it is.

BloodBorne was my GOTy.....Rocket League a strong #2.
MGSV was fun but really flawed. Nothing else really moved me.

Bloodborne definitely. I really like Divinity but it's not really 2015. 2015 was pretty meh all year really. I wasn't excited and didn't pick up much to play.
Bloodborne can kick rocks
I have damn near every game mentioned and can legit say I've played maybe... 2 of them? Probably gonna get to them this year. Like rocket league. Still never messed with it.

YES GUYS! I highly highly HIGHLY recommend the expansion then! It's meaty and not one of those more of the same type of things!
to keep this on topic, I forgot all about The Order as well, the game that was solely responsible for burning down FootyGAF ahaha (well that and batong's fateful encounter with Ev1lore in a London club)
overall it was meh, but fuck me...what a waste of an engine and an engrossing universe ;_:
Until dawn is up there. Rise of the tomb raider was pretty too.
I think Arkham Knight was the best looking game last year though.

Just been rolling with dudes in Destiny while blasting Spotify. Need more people for maximum lol, should try to get a raid going.

FWIW ... the game is pretty fun if you're not looking for much content or any sort of mind blowing new game mechanic. As I've gotten older and my time allotment for gaming is reduced the more cinematic games like this appeal to me. It wasn't great at all, but I had fun with it.

I haven't played the game in a couple months and got the expansion. I got to the first boss and was like, "fuck ... I'm going to have to practice and up my skills again to beat this asshole" and haven't picked it up since. It's a great game, but can be soul crushing at times.

I had fun with The Order too FWIW, having a recycled boss was fucking unforgivable though..
I had summoned one of the NPC's bit am running low on insight. I'm playing the expansion on NG+ though. I might continue my NG+ game and go back to Ludwig after a couple more bosses and more insight. Give me a chance to warm up for him too
Probably my top 5 favorite and most play game 2015

gotys were rocket league splatoon and bloodborne
disappointment of the year was MGSV, Ground Zeroes was better than the full game sadly.

1. Witcher 3 - I haven't beat this yet, but it checks so many boxes with what I love about gaming that it's easily the best experience I've enjoyed this year. I'm over 100 hours deep and still have no idea how close I am to the finish line. It's a real revelation when the light clicks with Gwent.
2. Rocket League - Another game where I'm approaching 100 hours played, yet, have spent exactly zero dollars on. They had some bumps in the road with servers and matchmaking, but now that they've figured that all out, they've focused on adding more and more free content that has kept me routinely coming back for more. Rocket Hockey is so similar to the main game, yet so unique on its own that it feels like an entirely different game. This is the best mulitplayer game I've enjoyed in quite sometime. Absolutely amazing moments captured.
3. Metal Gear Solid V - I really love the odd numbered games in the series (1 & 3 are in my top 5), so this was a big deal for me. Great visuals and game design structure. It was something different and I enjoyed it for what it was. It's just a real shame that the final game directed by it's creator is so very clearly incomplete. There are huge narrative holes throughout the games chapters and the final action portion is so bad and broken that I had to take a month off before going back to finish it off. Fun ride, but ultimately a hugely flawed experience.
4. ? - The only other non-sports game this year I played was Arkham Knight, which as a huge fan of the series, I didn't care for at all. I did buy Until Dawn, Life is Strange, Everybody's Gone to Rapture and The Order over the holiday, so I hope to give them a go sometime soon too.

Didn't like the art style of Grow Home, the sound design or the controls
And on top of that it ran like shit on ps4, and I'm normally blind to framerate issues
It was an interesting idea for sure, but I didn't like anything about it aside from the concept
Rainbow six siege
That is all
You're right and all you keep doing is going back to that piece of shit quick play when I have been down every road and have tried helping you

Witcher 3 is my GOTY, though only because Gigantic is still in closed beta.
NBA 2k16 is great also. I'm just stuck playing with random's online and because of it my park record isn't dominant. You can tell this year's game rewards good basketball because now more than ever in any sports game you can tell that most people don't understand basketball and think its about doing 20 crossovers into an asshole 3 and when they miss they don't get back to stop people from leaking out on their stupid shot selection. Whenever I can get at least one guy on my park team that understands basketball I can run off 5-20 wins straight. Too bad that's a rarity.

there's still stuff in 2k16 that needs to be better
mostly off ball offensive control--having to fumble with a bunch of buttons to even get a guy to cut to the basket is annoying, and we still don't have basic off ball screen control
PNR defense went overboard too--CPU plays it way too perfectly
but yea--mostly for 2k17 I want more off-ball offensive control. something like for a split second allowing the AI to play as the ball handler would work--would give you a couple of seconds to use the pick control button to setup an off ball screen and then a pass to you for whatever you wanted to do

Sometimes I run pro am games to try and recruit more people to play with. We got a solid group but expanding can't hurt
I get friend requests all the time now because my giant center got break starter and that badge is way too OP. But I'm pretty picky about who I add. My big red flags are people who can't play D, wave for the ball too much, take bad shots, or are allergic to passing it into the post

My favorites of 2015
Splatoon Stylish, fun and unique. It's difficult not too have fun playing this game and there is always something to try or experiment between weapons, gear , and the excellent map support post release.
Halo 5 Yea the campaign is meh (still has some well designed areas) but the Multi is great. After the loadout and armor abilities of Reach and 4 this is a great return to form. The smooth 60 FPS gameplay, great gunplay plus the new abilities makes it one of the best Halo MP experiences. Just need to get the maps and modes there.
Arkham Knight Still enjoy the Batman formula and didn't mind the batmobile stuff. Gorgeous game thats fun to just run around and beat up punks.
Super Mario Maker Pairs deceptively deep creation tools with great platforming to succeed in areas where games like LBP failed. Great game to play on the gamepad too.
Guitar Hero Live Cool game, they did some smart stuff with the GH Live and new guitar
Diablo 3: Reaper of Souls Still a great game that is my go to podcast game. Very satisfying to just wind down and kill monsters and get loot.

Should have clarified it is the console ultimate evil version. Don't have seasons :( currently working my way through rifts and trying to gear up my Monk for higher torment levels. It is a great game though, I have pretty much played it constantly since release.
