Not sure why Jimmy Kimmel keeps getting these, but whatever. Here's the entire movie in three minutes.

I think I really like this version of Lex. Not crazy about Doomsday's design, but I'm sure the action will be nuts.

I'm not feeling Lex at all.
Also I guess I know the full plot of the movie now, Wonder Woman and Doomsday really didn't need to appear in this at all.

Think that looks pretty bad. Whole film shown, looks like way too much going on, weird choices of footage and poorly edited. Eisenberg looks fun though.
Henry Cavill is bad. No charisma or screen presence.

I don't see that much going on actually.
Bats and Supes will have some ideological differences, and then put it aside to take down a common enemy. Wonder Woman will help. Some other characters are slightly re-imagined. It's as high concept as a movie can get.
It's not even a case of having too many characters - most movies have multiple characters that require some development. That these characters have super powers doesn't really put any additional strain on the writing - a backstory is a backstory in any case. This film even has the advantage of being rooted in popular mythology, so there's minimal setup required to get the audience invested.

Batman will be okay because it's Batman. Calling shenanigans if they just drop Wonder Woman in and give little explanation though. Hell, even something like the Avengers had a villain we'd already met, with motivations we already knew about.
I just feel like if we're moving through an entire Batman fighting Superman arc, as well as introducing Lex, Wonder Woman, Doomsday, all the while the two superlads kiss and make up... potential for shiny veneer with very little going on beneath the surface. Zack Snyder, essentially.
Lex seems to have the writing on his side, though we can debate about his performance and depiction. I like what he's doing so far.
We already met Doomsday in Zod, so that takes care of that. It simplifies a weak character in Doomsday who would otherwise require a lot more setup. Getting him out of the way now is a good thing.
The payoff here isn't beating Doomsday or Lex, it's the coming together of the Trinity and the beginning of the Justice League.
So, Wonder Woman is the question mark for me. I haven't seen anything in Gal Gadot's acting career to suggest she'll be any good, nor anything in any of these trailers to suggest she has anything to do other than be Mysterious Strong Warrior Woman, but I'm OK with that because I know she's got a solo movie coming and I'm already on board for that anyway. We probably won't get much of her story here, but hopefully she'll at least be central to the plot on a thematic level, helping to bring the boys together.

This trailer got me hyped for the Wonder Woman movie. Bats vs. Supes will be trash tho.
Love triangle. It's happening.

really love how the entire trailer was snippets of the entire movie slice by slice
fucking ridiculous--and the trailer was fucking dumb btw
makes me appreciate the star wars marketing more and fucking more--a fucking series thats generated a ton of hype just showing snippets of a few characters and some fucking lines---and Batman vs Superman with all of their interesting characters feels a fucking need to make us aware of every small aspect of the film for some reason

Fucking Tom Welling is a better Superman than Cavil.
Michael Rosenbaum is a MUCH better Lex.
Jury out on Ben WHOfleck as Batman.

Movie looks silly, I hate that they wasting Doomsday already but it still looks like it could be fun.
Tom Welling is not a better Superman than Cavill and I watched way too many Smallville episodes to be able to say this with 100% accuracy.
By reilo Go To PostTom Welling is not a better Superman than Cavill and I watched way too many Smallville episodes to be able to say this with 100% accuracy. That's how bad Cavil is. Don't let the "WB Teen Drama" crap shade you, out of that role (and network) he can be a capable Superman and a believable Clark Kent; two things we can see Cavil isn't.
Naw, stop. In fact, Wellington was never Superman. He wasn't even Superboy. He was a high school jock with super powers.
Well this is hot garbage pretty much agree with everything n8 said.
Why the hell in this day and age is CGI so inconsistent, I mean people complain about iron man but doomsday was awful.
Lex is dividing a lot of opinions (understandably) however I feel like that's the only thing that seems to be fresh (I'm undecided on batman)
I think if this grosses a bit over half of what civil war does it'll have done well.

I think Batfleck might turn out to be great. I think even Cavill is fine and Wonder Woman looks the part. It's everything else that's the issue. The screen writing, the staging, the CG, all of that.
People don't really complain about Iron Man. But if the CGI isn't convincingly photorealistic in some places, it's because they need to generate a lot of it and there's the law of diminishing returns to contend with. It might also not be finished.
This is Batman and Superman's first time ever in a major motion picture together. If you think this is grossing under a billion, you're delusional. This is a major event regardless of the quality.

By Kidjr Go To PostWell this is hot garbage pretty much agree with everything n8 said.It will do more than that. If quality was a factor for box office, the Thor movies would have done less than 100M. It´s Superman and Batman together, less than 1B is a massive failure.

Oh this movie is gonna do fucking phenomenal at the box office. Eventually the quality of it will catch up to it, see Terminator.
I still hope it will turn out better than what we saw at the trailer. I think Affleck will knock it out of the park as Batman and he will be the best part of the movie.
Everything is pointing in that direction, most reports have him staring and directing the next solo Batman.

He is confirmed to be writing the next solo Batman movie alongside Geoff Johns. I would be shocked if he doesn't direct as well.
if the movie isnt that good, then i can see 2nd week sales cut by half, even more. people just don't trust DC as much as Marvel after Green Lantern, Men of Steel, etc.
it'll do stupid numbers but i think it'll be the next film that really takes the hit for it
By Jay Whatever Go To PostBy the way, both Thor movies were dope.Thor 2? mehhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh i disagree
The end battle flying between realms, Frigga's funeral, the interactions between Loki and Thor... it had a lot of good stuff. My only criticism of those movies is that they don't fully embrace the Asgardian setting and characters. The earth stuff is boring, and Darcy and Selvig are unnecessary when Jane is enough. They should have fully committed to the sci-fi Norse angle and made it their LotR. Still dope though.

Affleck feels like an awful Batman to me. The February trailer still looked bad, but I guess some people were way into the Arkham Asylum game combat stuff.
If you put your trust in Synder, then you're a fool and have yourself to blame. Affleck appears to be doing really good work as Bruce Wayne.
Dawn of the Dead is decent enough. Wouldn't you rather watch the original though?
The trailer for 300 is better than the actual 2 hour movie.
Watchmen is just ok. Same as Dawn for me.
I never saw the Owl movie.
Sucker Punch is one of the worst movies I've ever seen. I wrote extensively about that on GAF. It's also dirty and made me want to take a shower after watching it.
Man of Steel, is awful. Bryan Singer failed Superman. Snyder did him even worse.
