Star Trek film producer Alex Kurtzman is reportedly working on the project at CBS Television Studies, and the search for a writer is already underway. The announcement comes just in time for the series' 50th anniversary. Details about the new effort are currently thin. However, it's clear that this is the first program developed specifically for CBS' online platform.
