Nine Inch Nails puts up fantastic shows. No detail is missed and Reznor's music sounds amazing live.
I've done a lot of concerts and stuff. Ibiza and all of that. Rammstein are just head and shoulders the best live act i've ever seen.

I love Prince's solo and stage presence in:

So many great artists there. Jeff Lynne's voice...
Helps that my guitar gently weeps is such a great song.

Yeah some pretty amazing guitar players in that version. Beatles covers usually annoy me, but this one was just perfection. I'm also a sucker for guiar solo's. As much slack as a guy like John Mayer gets usually, he's a bloody amazing guitar player. That Where The Light Is blu ray of his is stunning. Like his Hendrix cover -> https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=slkYHuzVTkI
Also his own song Gravity -> https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Fo4746XZgw8
Another personal favourite is the band dEUS. Their song Instant Street is one of my favourite songs of all time. It starts pretty calm with acoustic guitar play. But then at the halfway point Tom Barman picks up the electric guitar as well and the song just explodes. Main credits go to Mauro of course, brilliant guitar player -> https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9yel4INWfWA
I've seen dEUS play live about six times now, and this is always the highlight of the show for me.

The Beatles - Don't Let Me Down( rooftop concert)
-Lennons's best live performance and infinitely better than any studio version. Especially with Preston on the keys.
Queen - Love of my Life (1979)
-perfect. Amazing vocals, non obnoxious crowd involvement, best Queen song. Perfect.

LCD Soundsystem - The Final Show
James Murphy´s band comes to a end on the highest point of their 10 year career. Their last show was at Madison Square Garden where during nearly 4h they played pretty much every single song they released. Reggie Watts did a duet with Murphy, most of the members of Arcade Fire provided backing vocals for "North American Scum". After 4h of an incredible concert with such amazing highlights like All My Friends, Murphy ended LCD Soundsystem´s career with an incredible emotional rendition of New York I Love You But You Are Bringing Me Down.
I remember getting home extremely late after a night out and seeing that they were actually streaming the concert live. Managed to catch 2h of it and I loved it so much that I bought the Blu-Ray when it came out. The Blu-Ray includes a documentary called Shut And Play The Hits and it follows Murphy during a 48h period from the day of the concert to the morning after the concert. The documentary is also worth a watch as it is really good. It has a long interview between Chuck Klosterman and Murphy that gives you a great inside look at why the band exists and why it ended.
Then there´s this heartbreaking shot of James Murphy arriving to the backstage, coming to the conclusion that it is the last time they will all play
together and he weeps.

Porcupine Tree puts on an amazing show. They're usually at smaller venues and they play forever. They sound as good as their albums live too, which is something most bands fail at.
The best show I've seen from them was at the Nokia theater. They played both discs from their album The Incident. The first disc is one giant song so it was a solid 50 minutes of constant playing. They took a break, and then came out and played the whole second disc. They took another break and came out and played a ton of stuff from their older albums. There were two encores with several songs each. I didn't get tickets in time for a seated show, which I normally am happy with, but they played for almost 4 hours.
I also really enjoyed seeing Liquid Tension Experiment. They did a small tour some years ago. I'm glad I saw them because it's highly unlikely they'll ever play again. Portnoy is off doing his metal thing and dicking around in like 10 different bands.
My favorite hip hop show was more like a rave called audiotistic in 2002. I was on shrooms and saw OutKast and the Roots along with Mos Def, Talib Kweli, Blackalicious and Black Star, and saw Qbert spin some shit. We stopped into the house room and saw DJ Dan too.
My favorite favorite house show was probably John Digweed. Most of the raves I went to were great though and kinda blend for obvious reasons.
When I was younger I saw Thrice and AFI before they got lame. AFI came out in coffins. It's was awesome.

Maaan I wish the whole thing was taped but Com Truise killed it when I saw him this Sunday. It's hard to do much as a EDM artist but he just straight up did his music live then remixed them and did new stuff. No crowd interaction because he had to look down for getting stuff right and extending other stuff
