He is. France is Parker / De Colo / Batum / Diaw / Gobert with a bunch of NBA players on the bench. In an ideal world, Batum would take over as the scoring leader but he never quite did it, even when Parker is resting. Fournier on the bench is dying to be the starting SG but De Colo allows to have Parker off-the-ball. I'm not a fan of the french staff overall, some of their decisions are strange, such as the way they love Ajinça, he might play as much as Gobert.
Yeah... I was suckered by Ajinca back when that was fashionable but I'm confused as to why he gets love these days. Fournier is gonna end up the SG for a while though. He doesn't need it this year particularly.

He's playing well in friendlies I've been reading, good communication with Rudy Fernandez, but he's not high in the depth chart. Maybe the last couple games against Macedonia has granted him more playing time.

Nemanja Bjelica is by far the player of the game (just signed by the Minnesota Timberwolves), a 4 who is really more of a point forward (nice range, nice ability to slash to the basket). He killed Spain with 24 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists. I hope he finds his place in the NBA like Mirotic did, because he's of equal talent, just a bit more mobile with the ball and less a spot-up shooter.
Gasol and Mirotic contributed mostly in the 4th but that was not enough.
Fernandez was fantastic in the first half, giving Spain a 23-11 lead, going to the basket, passing it between the legs... but he disappeared.
This will have important repercussions since Group B is so competitive. These upsets happen in the competition, no team really ever goes undefeated in group stages, but if Spain is not top of the group, it changes what the final could look like...
