Pixar's The Good Dinosaur Official Trailer
- Page 1 of 1
Disappointed in the samey Pixar look for the character/Dino art, really fucking wish they'd change it up. Everything else looks wonderful, visually.
I would bet all the money in the world that the story is the same shit Pixar has been churning out for a while now.
So this movie can already go eat a dick

By Prototype Viktor Go To PostPixar has a bunch of writers chained in a room trying to figure out how to make people cryWorked for Inside Out.
By Dipro Go To Postnot a fan of the dino look but inside out was a return to form, lets hope this is nearly as good.oh my god
By psychintellect Go To Postoh my godI didn't realize you had no soul.
It's cool though, I don't discriminate
By psychintellect Go To PostMight as say that Cars 2 was a return to form.
Same thing really.
This is a stupid thing to say, you should feel bad.
Might as well say Planes was a return to form tbh
Seriously though, Inside out was not a bad movie it was just the same movie Pixar has been making since like Toy Story 2 or Wall-E.
This video pretty much sums up my thoughts.

that would be weird since they had nothing to do with planes.

he probably watches ice age and eats frozen pizza in his miami jersey, so i'm not offended.
By psychintellect Go To PostMight as well say Planes was a return to form tbhI mean, I watched the movie and I watched his review. I disagree. Dude is very hung up on things that don't matter. Nobody said it was original, or the characters were inspired, or it wasn't predictable. What it was was well-executed, a concept the YMS guy seems to have some trouble with (not just here, BTW). Same with Mad Max--or hell, something like Despicable Me. The fucking Matrix doesn't meet his criteria.

I'm not sold on it, based on the trailer, seems boring. I think I'll pass on this one, at least on its theatrical release.
psych what's your favorite pixar movie and why do you expect much deviation from their basic premise when the movies are mostly made for children. Also as much as I hate the merchandizing bandwagon, Pixar is a business and those toys fuel the development of more movies.

This guy gets it.
Anyway, I liked that trailer. I like that the boy is the dog and the dino is the man in this story. I'm optimistic. Loved Inside Out so looking forward to this, too.
I like Pixar (for the most part) and I like dinosaurs, so hopefully this will be good.
Inside Out was alright. I mean, I liked it.. it just wasn't amazing.

Inside Out was fucking top.
It's Pixar. I'll go see it regardless. Too soon to tell anything from this trailer anyways.
Hopefully I can catch Inside Out a second time this week or otherwise next week.

Other than Cars 2, all of Pixar's movies have been at least good with most being outstanding.
So I'll definitely watch this.

i want to see it a second time too but it hasn't open in the german parts yet and driving in to french country is always dangerous, so i like to avoid doing it.
Jem0208 sounds like a guy who knows his shit.
When is it out near you Dipro? Can't be too long anymore innit. I'm lucky the nearest cinema is a 5 minute walk. So I can always decide to go on the fly. Only downside is that they're only showing blockbusters. And the original version of Inside Out is also only once a day. The Dutch dubbed version they show three times a day :/

It's going to be such an awesome movie. I love the art direction.
Inside Out was great too. I can't really recall the last Pixar movie I didn't like.

I thought it was alright. Just doesn't live up the high standard we expect from Pixar. Same goes for Monsters Uni really. But I also think it says a lot that both these films were made by debut directors. As far as feature films go. They worked as writer on other Pixar projects and directed a short but that's about it. The Pixar veterans like Pete Doctor (Monsters Inc., Up and Inside Out), Brad Bird (The Incredibles and Ratatouille) and Andrew Stanton (Finding Nemo and Wall-E) hardly fail to deliver.
With Stanton doing Finding Dory and Lasseter himself at the helm of Toy Story 4 I'm confident those will deliver. The Good Dinosaur is a gamble with a new director. Peter Sohn's only directing job so far was the short Partly Cloudy.

Monster university is probably the best movie Pixar has made since like, Wall E tbh.
Finding dory(lmao) and toy story will be probably be toy story 3 tier. So I'm not looking forward to them at all. Brad Bird will probably deliver though.
But I've sort of resigned myself at this point in only finding value in Pixar movies as visual experiences.

1. Monsters Inc, Incredibles,Finding Memo,
2. Wall E, TS2, Ratatouille
Up was decent. (LOVE the old guys design so I might be overrating it. Sort of just nosedives after the dead wife montage)
Then the rest.

Oh I see. We're not complete in sync as I figured :P
Here's what I posted the other day:
Pixar tiers
1: Up, Wall-E, Inside Out, Toy Story Trilogy, Rataouille and Finding Nemo
2: Monsters Inc., The Incredibles, A Bug's Life
3: Brave, Cars, Monsters University
4: Cars 2
Third category is still a solid 7/10.
