It's an interesting combination of ideas that were presented at a time when not a whole lot was going on with the consoles we all spent hundreds of dollars on. I think that's what really started the initial hype ball to begin its downhill roll to the point where we are now.

I've been of the mind (and still remain so) that I need to know more. Yes, it looks cool and what Murray has been saying for the last two years sounds like something I would like to see with my own eyes; however, the vagueness of how the systems that have been touched on work just need more explanation. That info is slowing coming out but Murray isn't the right person to be selling this to the public. He's just not.

Now having said that, the intergalactic police stuff sounds promising, but if you really can't come across other players in the galaxy at random, then I think they've missed a huge opportunity. To collect shit; make shit; and then rob motherfuckers of their shit that you didn't even know existed is clearly be a huge, huge draw for a lot of people.

It's a single player exploration game with 'new' worlds being created on the fly that allows you to fly around, kill some animal things, and activate messages for the next person to see. snooze.

I think the GS guy messed up. You can encounter other players but it will be a rare occurrence due to the size of the world.

You can run into other players but it is very unlikely

You CAN come across other players and see them, but it's extremely unlikely because of just how big the game is. There are 18 quintillion planets after all. As you get closer to the center, the chances of running into another player will increase, but it will still be a slim chance. If you do come across another real player, where will be no indication aside from your own observation. If you see a ship that's flying un-AI like, then it could be another player. If you see a person in a suit get out of a ship and walk around, then it's probably another player

Same here. My favorite part of Minecraft was finding cool locations that the engine randomly generated.

I'm not entirely sure how the multiplayer works in No Man's Sky, but if there are planets that have special features that would attract people once they learn about them, it could lead to interesting interactions.

the special things are the hot new elements to use to upgrade shit that you can warp back to the early/medium galaxies and pimp that shit on the market. I'm going to rush getting to that dam center unless i find a cool ass planet to set up shop in

The game interest me but I'm not buying it on day 1. I'll wait on reviews and make up my mind then. Exploration and stuff is cool though.
