Boys is rioting in the strees at Nintendo. 11k signatures. Nintendo pls
What we got however is a disgrace of a game with the name ‘Metroid' slapped on the title. It has no elements at all of what Metroid is about and its a disrespectful manner to old and new fans of the series of showing them that the Metroid franchise is not dead after all.

Didn't Nintendo say they're padding their lineup with smaller budget spin offs of their big titles. This kind of thing is inevitable.
Unless you were waiting on a new Mario Football/Strikers. You can't be mad, look at Next Level's resume:

I think there's some merit to the claim that Nintendo is devaluing their properties with experimental games like this, rather than just churning out what their audience wants(big budget entries in these franchises) annually like the rest of the industry.
I don't think this petition is any real proof of that though. Just a bunch of nerds who think that really liking a product entitles them to some level of ownership over it.

Doesn't look like it was cancelled
It's a silly petition that's disrespectful to the developers making it. They didn't ask to hold up the Metroid name or appease an angry mob. They're just doing work.
It does send a clear fuck you to Nintendo though. Japan side never seemed to appreciate the franchise.

Probably the kids who started this never thought about how the developers might take it. Too bad, Next Level are a talented bunch.
Disgrace? lol Has anyone played it yet? Was there a live demo for it?
LOL. Watch this turn out to be true.

Two ways to take this.
1. A whiny exercise in whining by nerds.
2. A wake-up call for how Nintendo is treating Metroid.

By EldritchTrapStar Go To PostDisgrace? lol Has anyone played it yet? Was there a live demo for it?They showed the 4 Player co-op at the treehouse shortly after the digital event, looked like fun! While I am disappointed that it's not a full fledged single player adventure game I can't argue that I was pleasently surprised by the gameplay they showed.
From what I could see the game really NEEDS voice chat tho, even more than splatoon and we all know how silly nintendo can act about this. Certainly not Next Level Games fault, they did a great job with LM2 and this looks good too.
Those "fans" are ridiculous but that's just how it is, gaming landscape is full of pampered narcissistic crybabys.

WHAT ABOUT THE DEVELOPERS KIDS?S?!??!?!?!?!
If a product is shit, it's shit. Though how people know that definitively already is beyond me.

By K@do Go To Postthis is how out of touch nintendo isNah, just how entitled people feel these days, thanks to the internet. Straight up delusional.
This is some really petty shit. Don't like the game? Nobody is forcing you to buy it. From the little I've seen i don't like feel I'll like the game but hey, at least they're doing SOMETHING with the Prime ip.
