Weeping Penis-ula is definitely the first area you should go to after Limgrave, if you care about being too OP. Unless there's something truly terrifying waiting for me at Castle Morne, this has been too easy.
So based of the areas I've visited so far: Limgrave -> Weeping Peninsula -> Liurnia

Weeping Peninsula is south, across the Bridge of Sacrifice.
Speaking of, I killed Leonine Misbegotten, took 15 seconds as expected, I'm way op for this shit. What I don't get is if this was a story boss or not. Feels like a completely optional boss, but then why were the site of grace arrows pointing me in this direction?
I thought those indicated story-critical bosses and shit.

Sure, but it's not a story-critical item.
I thought those arrows only indicated places you absolute have to go to in order to finish the game, but I guess not.

By DiPro Go To Postwent to the volcano manor and it's really cool up there. has my new favourite enemy type the long long boi.Just cleared that area. Reminded me of Bloodborne.
Shame it ended in a gimmick boss.
Elden Ring really is the best and worst of From Software in one game.
These D-Rexes running around Caelid fucking suck. Massive, tanky, annoying to fight. Reminds me of the chicken butts of Dark Souls. "we got no idea what to do here let's copy-paste loads of annoying enemies everywhere"
yeah easily the worst enemy. pretty much the only one i never bothered fighting.
the ugly crow babies are also trash.

They were annoying until I realized all I needed to do was aim my vertical swings (2H) on their heads. I think it only takes two to Riposte them. So they die in four swings if you're about their level
Their damage is fucking obscene though jfc lol never worth it

I'm on a revenge tour with my new bff.
Definitely go south first after exploring Limgrave for a bit, even before Stormveil castle imo, as the Mourne castle is like a mini dungeon in preparation for it.
I'm falling behind of you, friends. Gonna have to no life it a bit during the weekend when I get a new screen.

I'm finished.
Some pretty fucky bosses towards the end that I caved and used spirit summons for, but otherwise it's a mostly stunning game. Such a shame that I feel let down by some of the boss designs because the world they've created and the way they let us inhabit and explore is fucking first class.
Not quite the perfect game so it can't dislodge the GOAT for me:
1. Sekiro
2. Elden Ring
3. Bloodborne
4. Demon's Souls Remake
5. Dark Souls 3
6. Haven't played...
7. ...the other two

Sekiro is your goat I respect itttt
did you fight all the 'main' optional ones Will?
I dont know where they go from here because I won't accept anything less than an open world like this now lol..

I got all the boss trophies, but there are probably a few cave/side dungeon bosses that I missed. I think my motivation to comb each area waned a bit as I went on, so I didn't explore the likes of Caelid and the snowy place as much as Limgrave and Liurnia.
I just want a Sekiro 2 man
Not to toot my own horn too much but I always knew open world would turn souls into one of the goats (I know souls fans already thought it was :P).
The pacing just hits different. But in reality it's everything else they managed to translate. Limgrave will be a great study for years to come as one of the best starting areas in all of gaming.

the worst open world game I have ever experienceddd

This is a great way of putting it. I have literally zero motivation to do NPC quests because their usual esoteric madness is spread out so widely. But the world itself and the encounters with enemies is fantastic.

I love you yurt-chan 🥰
npcs tend to pop up alongside my journey unless they specifically tell me to go somewhere. I like when I accidentally run into one while exploring in a completely random ass place lol. Not conventional, I don't mind it, certainly better than straight up quests and I do get that sense of reward when I do find one.
but n8, don't go out of your way to ignore them, NPCs will open up areas and decide which ending you get.
the opening cinematic was NPC focused for a reason this time

By Elliott Go To PostSword of night and flame is very cool and good. It's one of the few legendary weapons😳
Switching between the Moonveil and Astel’s wing. The latter has a stupidly good AoE attack on it’s LT/L2.
So pretty. My only regret is that the game came out a month before the Alienware QD-OLED monitor.
Elliott, around here is where wolfboi will be waiting for you, just met him.
Okay, I wasn’t ready for the platforming in Gelmir Hero’s Grave. The first time I’ve checked a walkthrough while playing. That shit was infuriating.
Wasn’t even worth it either.
In other news, I killed Godfrey and Morgott on my first try. This Mimic Tear is jokes

i thought magic was easy mode. but nevermind, got The Sword Of Night And Flame now.. That is the easy mode. Inshallah
I’ve gotten so far and this game just keeps on getting bigger it seems. I have ascended to the mountains after defeating, Godrick, Rannala, Rahdan, Morgott and Rykard in that order.
I feel like I missed somethings with the latter two in regards to their legacy dungeons. Especially in Leyndell. I’d explored a little of it early on by going through the mines in northern Liurnia, but I also ended up in the middle of the capital after using the teleport in the Fia quest line.
So in terms of progression in Leyndell, I beat Godfrey, then Margott. No bosses before them.
For Volcano Manor, I think the path I went to find Rykard was intended but it still seemed off. I followed the quests given by Tanith.
I didn’t even realise there was a whole village behind the castle until I went off to explore it after beating the boss.

You missed 2-3 legacy dungeons.
go back and explore Leyndell ;). There's an npc at the Roundtable that will give you a hint to its wearabouts. And there's another medallion for the lift that will lead to a hidden map but you might get it soon. And try exploring the snowfield thoroughly! It harbors more secrets than you think
For the Manor, yeah doing half the quest cuts the majority of the map for you haha. It was a fucking ordeal to get there and clear the way to it first time around, as I refused to join them through Rya and then Tanith. It was intended for your choice but its more of a shortcut, the intended one was reaching it normally. So I think you missed a boss or two there. There's a third way, when Patches traps you in a torture cave basically. Which you can't reach otherwise I think. In general teleports are straight up shortcuts. the capital was a bitch to infiltrate ;_;
for Rykard did you go straight to meeting him or go through his legacy dungeon first? If you do their invasion quests you skip the whole thing if I understand this correctly. The entrance is hidden behind a wall in one of the rooms
The Mimic Tear is the actual easy mode, I'll never use it lol. But yeah they've given us lots of options to make the game easier both in combat and exploration, which I appreciate!

Yea, people were jumping the gun about magic being the only easy mode, or whatever. Weapon arts are actually broken and require less setup than some of the more powerful sorcery builds. That sword, Moonveil, bleed builds (in general) and the insanely OP frost stomp (this shit makes absolutely no sense) are as out there as any magic you see.

for fuck's sake, got a "inappropriate activity" warning mid boss and it kicked me to the menu. Now i can't log in. What the fuck.
I think I've seen everything there is the underground descending from both the Ansiel and Siofra River Wells.
There's obviously more, since I could see another grace site in the distance below a dam near where I beat Dragonkin Soldier of Nokstella, so I'm guessing there's more Wells to be discovered.
I think I'll head north now, starting from the caves above Ravine-Veiled Village, which I only activated the grace in, then went back to Liurnia.
Also, I still haven't found a Somber Smithing Stone +5.
Also also, rip Facismo.
