Inky getting that trademark From treatment, love to see it.
I was just about to ask if all River Well lifts take you to the same underground realm, if it's all connected or not.
By Yurtlicious Go To PostActually wait Zabo, you opened the lift to Ainsel River Well ? Its in Liurnia. And a pretty big areaI did, but I left it for later 'cause I wanna finish exploring the surface of Liurnia first.

Uhuhuh. My good buddy Blaidd is waiting for me underground and there seem to be lots of cool places you can access only after helping milady Ranni, so I should probably go down there sooner rather than later, but I still feel like going south first.
By Elliott Go To PostCan people learn the bosses patterns a bit before summoning plsY’all don’t throw your summon down first to get a feel for the boss?

For some reason I thought Castle Morne was a legacy dungeon lol. Glad I was wrong, or else that would've been pretty underwhelming. Doesn't help I'm way overleveled after combing through Luirnia from before and was two shotting everything.
Ran through the annoying bits of Caria Manor and killed Loretta. This Three Sisters area seems like a good place to stop. Almost 50 hours logged whew, productivity in the negatives between this and Horizon.
Renalla down. 2nd phase was just dodge the one attack and then get 3 Great club hits in before rolling away. Was hitting for about 400 damage each swing and it stun locks her for all 3 lol.
decided to go kill all the dragons i found because fuck dragons and ONE OF THEM FLIES AWAY AT 50% HEALTH fuck that fucking guy.
also the deer boss in siofra river, idk if i am overlevelled for that area (i dont feel like i am because those fucking arrows... fuck those arrows) but considering its a "secret" boss, i expected to not find the easiest boss in many, many an hour.
oh well, think i have to go to the red area (caelid?) next. which i'm not looking forward to, every time I've been there I've gotten VERY UPSET

I'm completely stuck in unsightly tomb. I have no idea where to go after using the mechanism.
*got it. im an idiot.

4 belfries spoiler question
so I beat the Crucible Knight rematch and picked up the mottled necklace. Is that it? The Spider boss gave me some gear and was a lot larger. Am I missing something?

beat Radahnon my 3rdtry. Wasn't particularly masterful play, just dodgeroll spam and L2 mashing. This bloodhound sword is op lol
I feel like I missed out on some quests on the way to this boss tho.

the non-optional bosses are super easy in this game. they really made it beatable by anyone.
By s y Go To PostI feel like I missed out on some quests on the way to this boss.same. only thing i don't like about from games that you can just straight up miss quests and bosses forever. huge open world makes it so much worse. i played 40 fucking hours before that and i still might have missed tons of shit and since the game is so huge i likely won't do it again. ever.
By DiPro Go To Postthe non-optional bosses are super easy in this game. they really made it beatable by anyone.Genius game design. They're gonna sell a billion
the thing about item descriptions is that I get this hilarious urge to murder npcs just so I could see what they've been hiding lmao
and boy am I glad I did for this npc. You can't kill anyone at the round table/faction areas so as soon as I saw this one outside I killed them lol
dropped an exclusive weapon and armor set that they aren't even using. Gonna murder everybody on this character. I am chaos
except for one character. Zabo knows. Zabo understands

Finally starting to come to grips with Elden Ring. Unlocked the Crepes's crossbow and that's helped to pull monsters out of mobs and deal with them individually.
Also made my way through Fort Haight and unlocked an Ashes of War which causes bleeding. Applied it to my Twinblade and having a much easier time against bigger enemies. Also unlocked the Jellyfish summons. Haven't used it yet, but it's supposed to be a game changer.

Jellyfish MVP; it's also relatively tanky
Wolves are gud for fights where the boss is easily staggered or has slow windups as they can dodge away.
Those are the two better early ones. Even the demi-humans is is useful very early in if you want to go yolo camps or forts. They surprisingly stay alive longer than you would expect.
Ashes in general seem extremely useful.

My dragon build is a DPS beast. I'm killing bosses in four hits! But the wind up for my skills is an eternity so you need to pick your moments or you're dead.
Some dragon ball Z shit too, I float in the air like I'm possessed and then I summon a dragon head out of thin air

came recently back and fucked them all up.
They're just shit enemies really. From at their worst.
Oleg summon has been the best for me so far. Lad is a tank

the easiest mobs to backstab, parry and counter lol. Dodge or circle behind them, R1 and they're dead.
Oleg is fucking badassssss. Literally a 'hero' summon

Yeah, as soon as I started putting points into Faith I started getting those unique summons that need 80-100 FP and I'm still on 60 lol
Boy there are a lot of copy paste bosses :/
Also what was even the point of them adding a crafting system? Nothing worse than almost dying just to get "yadda yadda mushrooms" as your reward
Might put a pause on this ranni quest and go back on the main path.

I can finally shoot lightning. Melting a whole camp while on Torrent lol.
This took way too long ;_;

Ayyee lads I'm actually making progress now. Finally beat Bloodhound Darriwil with my Twinblade and Ashes of War combo. Traded up on weapons to use the Bloodhounds Fang that he dropped. Scales very well with my high Dex.
Just beat Leonine Misbegotten a minute ago as well. Used the Jellyfish to distract him and then Bloodhound Fangs bleeding attack did huge damage.
I couldn't do anything in this game an hour ago and just beat two bosses who steamrolled me yesterday.

Final three bosses spoilers:
The Elden Lord fight was dope af. I feel like Godfrey should have been a bit harder, but damn it's good. When phase 2 starts and he drops all titles, and is like, "I'm stepping to you as a man, so run the set." Bruhhhhh. Mf'er turned into a Potemkin / Zangief hybrid. This shit is so dope.
Radagon was cool. Thematically, it fit, and I liked his move set. Lots of delays in the strings, to catch people mashing.
Ngl, I could do without the Elden Beast. That shit was annoying af. The spectacle was cool and it fits the theme, but nah. Half of the time I spent chasing him down and getting hit by shit that I can't see. -_- I don't think it's to difficult, but it def can put you in situations where it feels like (not sure what the counterplay was) where you just eat damage or die. Won't call it an unblockable, but yea. Also, my spells not reaching when it flew in the air was cap af.
I went with theQueen of the Universe ending, because why wouldn't I. Everyone of the planet has to hold that. lmao
Need to sit with my thoughts, but I enjoyed it a lot. Though not without some design choices that bother me, I enjoyed my time with it more than all of the other Souls games that I've played (maybe combined).
Probably gonna switch the build up for NG+, while I decide on if I actually want to learn a speedrun for it.

Some guy managed to get it by watching an older trailer and noticing something 'off' about one particular room and recreating that triggered it. No way I was gonna figure that out lol..
Did you read Radagan's soul. Dude was trying to fix everything while Marika is shattering it
You probably could speed run it, I'm very close to the third boss now on this character.

38 ish?

sword doggo
I sliced him up in 2 hits. I wanted to fight him longer
For INT builds, I found a legendary sword in area 2. Its ice AND fire and can cast two different spells, it sounds insane.
Currently my weapon is a pair of formless holy blades sticking out of my fists. Formless as in they weigh nothing and can't be blocked..
