By Dipro Go To PostSo this is Doctor Who as a comedy eh?not really... it's hard to explain... it's basically a play on Marty McFly and Dr. Emmett Brown's relationship that mutated into something much grander

Harmon has stated that his inspiration behind much of the concept and humor for the series comes from various British television series, such as The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy and Doctor Who. He figures that the audience will only understand developments from Morty's point of view, but stated "we don't want to be the companions. We want to hang out with the Doctor, we idolize the Doctor, but we don't think like him, and that's really interesting, Rick is diseased, he's mentally ill, he's an absolute lunatic because he lives on this larger scale.
will watch.
By Dipro Go To Postsounds like Doctor Who to me.We are starting to see the human side of Morty this season.. which can be quite dark in itself

By Dipro Go To PostSo this is Doctor Who as a comedy eh?Dan Harmon is a known Doctor Who fanatic. If you watch Community (and you should) the Inspector Spacetime stuff in there is a straight up Doctor Who homage.
Season 2 Episode 4 of Rick and Morty struck me as particularly "Doctor Who." The basic premise is something Moffat could've come up with, but where Moffat would've turned it into a creepy horror story, Rick and Morty turns it into a really brilliant and philosophical comedy. It's better than Doctor Who.

By Dipro Go To Postpretty sure that already happened on Doctor Who once, well it did on Buffy.I've watched every episode of New Who and Rick and Morty is by far the superior show.
blasphemous.
By Prototype Viktor Go To Postlol Adult Swim _Retro'd episode 5 from the website. i missed it and it's MIA from existingI just torrent them.
By Forever Go To PostI just torrent them.i was too lazy, and since they nuked it from space i'm not even going to watch it
lol they finally put up ep 5 on their site. The entire ep was a excuse for Dan Harmon to do his Ice-T he made popular on Harmontown with his epic raps
The Season 1 version of this concept was superior, it had some of the best family relationship development in the series.
Not that this wasn't still great.

it's like haha we get you don't love each other and you are together for the kids... it feels overblown with how they present it.
Season 1 it was hinted at and even suggested that they were meant to be together but now it is just the running gag

So Rick and Morty has a following in Japan apparently.

By Forever Go To PostSo Rick and Morty has a following in Japan apparently.wouldn't really call it a follow... that's like a minor blog of someone who wants to introduce R&M to other anime fans.. and a few tweets.. I don't think R&M would do that well here...

Haven't been feeling the past two episodes. Feel like they're running some stuff into the ground. Kind of sick of pathetic Jerry stories.
I'd like a return to the weird dimensional/time stuff.

Nobody cares about Jerry and Beth storylines.
Man, last night was a let down. The cable episode from season 1 is still my favorite.

Morty has been slowly turning evil over the course of this season.
I assume Evil Morty will be involved in the finale.

Morty "Purging" was fucking hilarious. To see this meek kid just totally lose his shitand embrace Rick's unique brand of crazy was fantastic.
My name's Jerry Smith and I loooove sucking BIG sweaty dicks, and licking disgusting, furry testicle sacks.
I miss you already, Rick.

By Xpike Go To Postthat finale...no joke just standard length for Adult Swim animation that's over 15 minutes
hopefully the year and a half was just a joke huh
By Omzz Go To Postfuckwell there's the pokemon Morty game, got to catch all the Morty's
thought the bump meant some good news for the new season
Wouldn't mind a long break as long as it comes back strong. The second half of season 2 was a definite step down in quality in my opinion.
I'm right in assuming that everyone knows that Beth is the best side character in the show right? Beth is light.
