I dunno I'm just assuming

By inky Go To PostNew PoE league release today
they got one week before Lost Ark eats their lunch
Very different games tbh. Think people going into Lost Ark hoping for a new Diablo/PoE-like are gonna be very upsetti.
I know they are different (reason why I'm not jumping on the Lost Ark bandwagon), but core gameplay is similar enough for there to be big audience overlap.
ARPG fans are so starved that Wolcen fucking sold a few million copies not that long ago. And I actually don't think most of them care that LA is a grindy KMMO. Plus all the PoE streamers are being paid to do launch events and will be dropping it as a result.

I tried Dirt Rally in VR for a bit, and... It was hard enough without the vr headset on, and only got even worse with it on. Was fun though.
Great game.

Fuck I want to play through this masterpiece again
Great game.
By inky Go To PostOh shit, played 2.1 hours of Vampire Survivors… can't refund now.I've refunded something with 4 hours on it before
Only game I've refunded is Nioh because it never worked. But yeah, I know the window is a bit more generous than the guidelines.
I think I probably made a couple of weird noises playing RE 4 VR last night. I played the village section in 4 different platforms (GC, PS2, PC and VR) but I was never as tense as I was in VR.
Fumbling to manually reload while having a horde of villagers in front of me is nerve-wracking, always looking behind to see if someone's there.
It sucks that it's so hard to get a gaming PC right now, there's so many great VR games on PC.

Back in my broke boy days I had a secondary Steam account to buy games while playing on my main account and then refunded them once I was done.

I've done this before, it works absolutely fine.

The issue is probably going to be latency, I am almost halfway between the US and the center of Europe.
Which service did you use?
By Pedja Go To PostIn what way are they not good enough?
By Freewheelin Go To PostI guess the resolution is not high enough.Yes but it's more nuanced. The VR experience is amazing but the visual clarity just isn't there as yet. It will get there. The horizon and vertical FOV is lacking and the motion resolution is rough. It's definitely better for head to head racing as you can turn your head and view the car beside your. Barrel distortion and chromatic aberration is pretty bad in some headset. For the casual though it's still great. You adjust but still annoying.

By Daz Go To PostWhat's the appeal of GTA?Rockstar makes by faaaaaaar the best open worlds. Closest to "living, breathing game worlds". Unmatched production values. You can just walk around in GTA/RDR and watch shit unfold.
Shiit, they both control so poorly that it's probably the best way to play their games.

I'm not subscribed to it now due to financial issues but I did a month ago and it is honestly quite impressive especially as you are essentially sending a video stream to the Quest and it worked flawlessly for me. Half-Life Alyx was great. Only issue is you might have to wait a bit for access.

But there is a free one you could use like Plutosphere (beta only). I haven't really tried that one yet.
By Daz Go To PostWhat's the appeal of GTA?Extensive open world full of details, entertaining gameplay that allows you to do a lot without even touching the missions.
GTA was already incredibly successful as a single player game but GTA Online expanded that with the craziness of a online population and with some very creative online modes, some of the racing tracks I've seen on YouTube videos are mind-blowing.
GTA V is about to be released on it's third generation of consoles while being a constant best seller.
By s y Go To Postvanguard guts is a goGriffith, always.
I'm assuming this is the equivalent of Deprived/Waste of Skin in Dark Souls. So I'm either going with that or Bloody Wolf purely for the flowing white hair ngl
of all the classes I tried on the beta, the Prophet was by far the strongest. A glass cannon faith build with insane range
but fuck faith, respectfully.
Gonna give dual swords/daggers a go from the start, and if that doesn't force me to learn how to evade/parry properly, I'll restart with a tankier build. Hope you can get half-decent magic with minimal stats in it, visually at least. I always liked just seeing what the spells do even when I had no intention of building around it.

and you have 9 INT/10 Arcane so you can absolutely make him into a hybrid almost immediately
even if you feel like you're a bit squishy you can just rely on summons (wolves, warrior, giant jellyfish etc) to tank for you lol
I've seen a lot of videos of people doing a hybrid sword and magic build and I really want to try that.
I'm not sure I will ever learn to parry :lol
I'm not sure I will ever learn to parry :lol
I've never even tried to do it in a Souls game besides fighting Gwyn. In Sekiro you can spam it, in Bloodborne you can do it from a safe distance, and both are obviously designed around it.
you have other mechanics easier to execute like Guard Counter (block then R2 immediately)
they brought back Sekiro's postures too so you'll get rewarded for being aggressive. A couple of counters or charged attacks can break their postures for a free parry/Visceral Attack
Andrew will have a phenomenal experience since lots of carried over things are kinda new to him
19 days, Covid permitting. ;_;
