By blackace Go To Postwas eying restarting Hong Kong…Yeah, about to run HK back. I never actually beat Dragonfall. The way cover direction lies to you tilted me something serious when I first played this. Just now getting into the third act.
Combat is still jank but I really enjoy the story.
Dragonfall is really good story-wise. HK feels like it was doing too much off jump, but maybe I was burnt out when I tried the first time.
Also kinda doubt Paradox is going to pay for the licensing, but would have loved to see Shadowrun with a little money behind them.

I'll say that I still think HK is better when it comes to pacing, combat, progression, party (Glory is great, Blitz drags down everything), missions.
But at the time, Dragonfall had to be dope. As much as I like the layout of it all, I'm always gonna think some other dev would've done even more with this. Bioware, Obsidian, even Firaxis. Damn shame.

It's just not a well-run franchise on any level.The video game rights are back at Microsoft (they had licensed them out to Harebrained Schemes to make the last couple entires) and the rumor is that they're working to bring it back. Given the number of RPG studios they have now, it would make sense.
It would be similar the Thronebreaker, a singleplayer, storydriven Gwent game which will earn you rewards & cards for the MP version.
