I could be playing that this weekend but the postal service has failed me for the first time in a long time.
Got an email and text message saying that they would deliver my case today.
No attempt was made, they didn't call, there was actually someone at the house all the time except for a 10 minute window.
Another weekend without being able to build my PC and with all the components ready to go for two weeks now...
Edit: should have posted earlier, they just dropped it off.

By Yurtlicious Go To PostIf Halo's only problem is lack of MP content/terrible progression then the future is bright, I feel, no? That can be fixed either eventually or in the next game. There are also network and performance problems.
There is no reason why Halo Infinite's MP is garbage tier online and in private lobbies
It's horrendous

Network problems and some bee basic functionalities (like re joining a map if disconnected) needs to be fixed. But i think the gameplay is really fucking fun, would like to play more
That or at least proper new maps. Not just the same ones with dark mode added.
But also I do want rewards
By Hixx Go To PostI am excited for season 2 of Halo and then Forge later this year. It's so much fun, just want more maps. Don't really curr for the battle pass but the chaps I play with like Wooden will only play it if he has rewards to unlock. Zoomer.

Finished Guardians of the Galaxy which was pretty good as an overall experience. Not a great action game but I enjoyed my overall time with it. Hugely recommend increasing damage output in the difficulty options so the battles don't drag.
Just started There Is No Game which seems cool. Also Lego Builders Journey which is pretty af.

Meanwhile, Rolands bitch ass "Why are you helping me? I am trash. You must be stupid, but I need a friend rn ;_;"
By Yurtlicious Go To PostThe actual fight was even better. Took a minute to figure out what the best strategy was (forgot about the third statue) but man they really sold the feeling of desperation. If every battle is this good it's easily going to surpass FF Tactics. Admittedly doesn't have the customization (which is a plus for me) but the scenarios have been far better.
After thinking on it a bit more after finishing my first run, I'm actually glad that its character focused as much as it is. In FFT/TO/FE - you could just brute force the majority of the game by rolling out a legion of archers, ninjas, red mages, etc.
This? Nah. You get ONE all-purpose tank. And if he dies you're always fucked lol. And to go further, upgrade costs rising exponentially mean you have to look at each character for what they are and choose how to further specialize them.
Straight up solved the snowballing problem that plagues everything from FFT to XCom.

Yeah Roland is a shit character and unit. I gave him away to the enemy for free in the beginning of the game but I didnt like where that was taking the story so I restarted. Now he sits on the bench a good 20 lvls below everyone else...
and DY idk I think Lionel is a pretty good tank too especially against mages with his ranged enrage move.

You get some other off-tanks and bulwark types later - but they all kinda do the job slightly different.
And fuck Roland.
Damn Roland is one of my aces up to Ch 8 so far. I’m picking it back up tonight.
Anna probably 2nd then the Archer girl
Anna probably 2nd then the Archer girl
Anna is my girl, best rouge I've ever had in a SRPG. She gets all the upgrades first (don't tell Frederica).
By DY_nasty Go To PostThere is no reason why Halo Infinite's MP is garbage tier online and in private lobbiesDesync and crashing still a thing on LAN. My biggest frustration about private lobbies other than a lack of custom options, forced team shuffling. As in you make your teams and the game decides when you load into the game that it knows better than you and makes absolutely random rosters. Imagine just being in two different rooms and obviously wanting people in room A on one team, and room B on the other. You legit have to wait to the game loads, make everyone wait, have the players effected press start and change squads. It's the dumbest shit I've seen in a game in a long time.
It's horrendous
I loved FFT but haven't really liked any other turned based strategy games, mostly because I wasn't an 11 year old with no way to exchange the game I chose to rent at the video store so I had to put in the time to learn It.
Y'all bout to convince me to try out this Triangle Strategy game.

By Daz Go To PostI was told Halo was back. For a month it was
Then everyone at MS/343 forgot what the whole point of a live service game was.
Yeah it was, but they just completely failed to update it with new stuff. Played well over a 100 hours of it, cant say that for any other recent shooters. Not even hell let loose I got 100 hours in yet.
Not even update it with new stuff. Idk if anything has changed in the last month but judging by r/Halo it hasn’t
They haven’t even fixed issues that have been around since launch.

Yeah some of their decisions have been quite something, and some of it should be really easy to fix... or we at least have seen other devs fix in a fairly short time span. Still cant wrap my head around the no re-connect button.
It's just bizarre to me that it takes 343 so long to do things like balance patches when other live service games do those things so rapidly. The big mid-season update they promised was literally just a balance patch three months in. Also, it's April and there's still no roadmap.
But Infinite is just really so bereft of content and options, and those things won't be improving in season two. There's only one arena map and only one big team map, king of the hill (why wasn't this in at launch??), new cosmetics, and some balance updates. Somehow, they're still not committing to basic playlists updates like a dedicated ranked slayer.
I haven't had any reason to play in months.

It took Ubisoft about 6 months to properly nerf Blackbeard and about year to nerf Lion in Siege. I don’t know about patch times for other GaaS, I only understand pain.

By Kibner Go To PostDotA does minor balance patches like every 2-3 months, a meta-changing patch every 6-8 months, and a wtf-is-this-even-the-same-game patch every 12-16 months. They do something similar with Siege. New operator every 3~ months which changes up the meta along with balance changes and reworks. A mid season patch for balance too.
However, they still tend slack on balancing operators that really need to be tweaked. They’ve gotten better at least in the last couple years. The first three years were rough tho.
By Daz Go To PostHow many people at 343i?They have somewhere around 600-650 and then there's also three other support studios working on the game. There's truly an army of people working on Infinite and the best they can do after six months is two maps.
The lack of a roadmap for halo is rough, but I imagine the reception would be even more frosty if they were missing the dates in the roadmap.

They said forge and co-op would be coming with season two, and now even after the delay, they're both missing that window.

Coming off of how good MCC eventually became and all the positive changes they brought to that, it's tough to understand where the disconnect is.

Did you play Psychonauts 2? One of my favourite games in years.
Wasteland 3 also cool and often overlooked, if you are into that kind of games. Forza Horzion 5 and Halo cool too, but I assume that is already on your radar.

GOTG is such a good looking game. Every jacked up to the max including ray tracing and it's buttery smooth on 1440p.
Is this what it feels to belong to the PC Master Race?

This is the first taste. You wont truly be part of it, until you mod all your games to include Thomas the tank engine.
