I personally post a good bit on the Something Awful forums. Mainly their sports and pc hardware subforums/threads. The specific topic subforums tend be good more often than not. The off topic subforums need to be nuked.

It's not an achievement thing. Horizon one was so smooth brain easy that you didn't even feel an urge to use the majority of what the game offered outside of the novelty. Ultrahard when it came out later was some of the most fun I'd had in an open world game up to that point.
Yeah, I don't think you get trophies for difficulty level in this one anyway. maybe when the dlc comes out

Play on very hard. Beginning may be rough because you don’t have the items to use, but if you do any side quests you’ll want very hard for end game

MP wise it was great but zero content, worst attempt at a live service game Ive seen in years and the various issues with desync etc..

After 6 (7) years and 500m I don't think crunch is the issue. Just them not knowing what they're doing since Halo 4.
343i has been working on Halo for 15 years -- 5 years more than Bungie was on the project. It's safe to say, they don't know what the fuck they're doing.

It's not like the online is not enjoyable from a gameplay point, there's just not enough worthy content to keep people interested.
I think the reality is that Halo isn't really that interesting and everything there is to be done with it has been done with it.
If Halo's only problem is lack of MP content/terrible progression then the future is bright, I feel, no? That can be fixed either eventually or in the next game.
yeah I think halo infinite will be fine when they get the live service aspect of content right. the gameplay is pretty good.
