Tunic seems fun, but also falls a bit flat compared to deaths door, which is even on gamepass too, so no reason not to play that instead. That is the early impression, might change later on

I was not ready for this sequence of plot twists in triangle to hit all at once. Committed to bad ending and I deserve nothing less.
Also, no game has ever made archers so garbage yet so terrifying at the same time. On chapter 15 and one well positioned archer puts more fear in my heart than most bosses.

so I guess I need to re-run these mock battles in the encampments to grind up levels and coin huh. i thought it was just a 1 and done thing. i gotta figure out which of these characters work good together

By domino Go To Post"oh it's just a simple escort mission across the map, how hard can it be i haven't taken any Ls yet. let me try out some of these new units i just picked up"lol nah. the mock battles really are just that - help you get comfortable with a certain group for a certain scenario. the leveling and money is legit too, but it really is the best way to learn your tools. but there is healthy grind going on. unit weapon upgrade costs go up *exponentially* for each option in that row. you can give a unit everything available technically, but it will cost you a fucking fortune. helps to define a role/purpose and stick to it as early as you can.

and i know that map you speak of. that's when they yeeted my support of the bridge and instantly killed them lmao. my briskly paced jog turned into an outright sprint after that.
the majority of the time, reinforcements only appear when there's an objective. its not random fuck you thing really. plus they'll almost always tell you where they're coming from too in the overview option at the pre-battle screen.
