They really fucked nexusmods up huh
This site isn't even usable for a basic member anymore. 2MB/s download speeds. I can download Forza Horizon 5, delete it, reinstall it, delete it again, and reinstall it before this 6GB file from nexusmods finishes.

lmao arseholes
I have my Skyrim mods backed up because of that. About 30gb in my backup drive.
Low speeds I can maybe live with, but plenty of mods have also been taken down due to drama.

Beat the Dragon God in DeS. I haven't progressed past the Swamp of Sorrow - I am white tendency in all worlds and therefore haven't the sodden ring. The Tower of Latria online boss will be tricky too.

I have a friend who used to play all kinds of games, but does almost nothing but play flight sims now. Really wish I could get into these kind of games like that. It is absolutely one of, if not the best looking game i've ever played. But just flying doesnt do it for me.

Only reason I'd ever consider a gaming PC again is Flight Simulator (and Dota 2)
I think there was a solid two years where I played nothing but flight simulators

Just beat chapter 13, heading into the home stretch of triangle
The late game isn't what I expected, it's kinda better lol. I imagined progression would lead to more enemies and objective based stuff considering how the game starts. Instead terrain becomes more complex and enemy units get way stronger. Pleasantly surprised for sure.
Objectives do pop up now and then. But enemies bringing way more to the table - along with terrain advantages becoming more important beyond "secure the turret or it will be used against you" is dope. High ground and choke point stuff is obvious, but calling in a tempest to ruin all archers on the map? Followed by that same tempest causing fires to spread more rapidly? This is gud. Maps stay generally compact as well. I loved 3H but towards the end of that game, you may as well have been fighting across Skyrim.
Boss units/commanders feel perfect. Oppressive as fuck in a group. You naturally just work to isolating them and bullying then out the paint. Organic/10. Some games do way too much with bosses in this genre. Too often you'll get to a boss and have to basically switch up everything you've learned up to that point.
I like the story but sheesh.... There's some points where you'll wish you were on a collectathon instead. Its good so I'm kinda indifferent to the drag there. You can skip stuff too. But its borderline visual novel at times.

We're not sure if it will be remembered as a huge disaster or as a cult classic. But we're sure of one thing: Stranger of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origin is pure and absolute chaos.
Stranger of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origin thinks that it's Daniel Craig's James Bond but it's actually Austin Powers. There's barely a moment in the game that isn't stretching credulity, be it the absurd writing, bewildering story, or inane characters. There's a host of technical issues, too. But somehow, despite everything, it manages to fail upwards and be a pretty good time. Maybe we've lost the plot but we liked it.
I almost have to admire the audacity of how blasé Square Enix is with its own history, and wonder how much of Stranger of Paradise was intended as comedy. Is it irreverence or just laxity? If you thought Final Fantasy 7 Remake took liberties with its source material, at least there seemed to be a purpose and intent behind it. Stranger of Paradise meanwhile feels like an ill-thought fanfic, given free rein to ransack the back catalogue.
I didn’t expect to enjoy smashing the heads of monsters like this. I also didn’t expect to enjoy a story about a hyper-masculine man like Jack. But what I’ve come to learn in my time with Stranger of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origin is that Jack isn’t a knight in shining armor. He’s better
Not sure why anyone is expecting the game to be even half way decent. Just be the playstation clout effect.
