After Encased filled me with immeasurable disappointment, I'm looking forward to a new Fallout entry
The only difference I know about between current Obsidian and Old Obsidian is lack of sexual harassment

hard mode in forbidden west feels like utrahard from frozen wilds at times. I'm never one to use traps and potions but I'm depleting my inventory anytime I come across a big robosaur.
also wtf at the amount of new robos.
also aloy is anterrorist asshole now lol.

got some time in yesterday and movement feels slower than hzd. dodge window also completely downsized, scrounger lunges miss me by miles and I still take half a health bar

The number of active skills available looks daunting, especially with the new weapons
Fucked up by upgrading all the gear you can get in and around the first town, didn't realise better stuff would be available so soon
Does difficulty effect Machine Strike? Feel like it'd be much better if you could move the camera in that, looks ugly as shit from the top and I can't tell what unit is what unless I highlight it.
edit: the scrounger has a double lunge that has an AoE electricity effect around its head, I've been caught by it a lot
Protip on hard: Don't even think about tanking a Fanghorn or Charger charge attack.
Would buy the shit out of a skill that lets you collect berries and ridgewood without an animation.
Signal Lens and Hunting Ground rewards trash af in the opening area.

By Kuma Go To PostWhat did BoTW do to change open world games ?Shit was just magical.
Felt refreshing just because it didn’t follow the Ubisoft open world blueprint of cramming ten thousand pointless tasks into the world.
It felt more sparsely populated with POIs, so they stuck out more rather than blended in.
Beyond that, it also gave the player a lot of freedom in approach. Not just in enemy encounters, but also in the main quest. You could tackle each of the main bosses in any order or go straight for Ganon at the castle.
All that, plus a good variety in different biomes across the map. Physics based interactions with the world such as using boulders against enemies, chopping down trees to make bridges, lighting grass on fire and it propagating in a logical way, etc.
By HonestVapes Go To PostShit was just magical.it's funny, I would never chop down a tree to make a bridge in botw 'cause you could usually just paraglide to the other cliff side and climb up

Supposedly there's a lot of duplication in the skill trees in horizon, so it's less intense than it looks thankfully.
I'm still running the starter bow because I don't want to invest in greens. Need to look out for blues and purples though

By Laboured Go To PostThis could be ok. I kind of assumed they were just going to put old games and streaming and be done with it but they are listed different.. Hopefully they include PSP games. Its going to suck though when there are like 30 ps1 and 2 games at launch that no one cares about and then try to hype people up with "this month's classic games"
They are definitely dropping yearly rates though and are probably going monthly only.
Someone go into the Elder Rings thread and tell Yurt I defeated the Fool's Idol, then I jumped back to the Ritual Path and got merked by one of those wizard geezers going down the last corridor to the Old Hero boss.
Lmaoo thanks Horse
Ritual Path is the stuff of nightmaresss. The next boss is very fun, you'll kill him on your first try ;)

We (SLAENT) are also trying to bully Yurt into getting one.
By inky Go To PostIs anyone here getting a deck?Speaking of, steam deck dock, coming late spring 2022. Open in new tab to embiggen.
I was thinking about a Deck but I did some illegal things to my Switch and I am now enjoying it more.
By Kuma Go To PostIs magic still cheeks in Elden Ring?
Seems pretty damn good, especially now that you can get some (sometimes all) of your flasks back by killing groups of enemies.
