Failure motivates me. I've not won but not completely lost at a lot of stuff. For the record, this is the answer that I refuse to give on job interviews because it won't get me hired.

I've been the dude standing around while everyone else celebrates the championship trophy. It's not fun but the experience of grinding to make it forces me to grow up and change.

The second part to this answer is waking up motivates me. 'Fuck am I supposed to do but be great and go out and prove this to the world? I made me what I am so I have to keep moving. It's similar to a criminal on the run trying to survive in a foreign country that gives less than 0 fucks about him.

I am motivated by meeting set targets within deadlines, as it gives me a sense of accomplishment and it's something that I can look back on and say "I achieved that". I'm also motivated by visible results
