Porto is having their worst start of a season in 27 years, they've only managed 10 out of a possible 18 points.
They started well with two wins against Braga and Boavista but since then they only managed to scrape by a win against Gil Vicente, got a controversial draw against Sporting and had lost to Marítimo and Paços de Ferreira.
At the start I was thinking that they could be the only ones who could challenge Benfica for the title and we would be lucky if we had a chance to fight for second place with them but right now Benfica seems to be running away with the title and Sporting, while not looking great, have been getting the results.
I would love if we got 2nd place, the qualification to the Champions League would be a big boost financially.
It would also mean big trouble for Porto, they just announced this week that the club had a 116M€ loss last season, 4 of their starting players are on their final year of contract and could be signing pre contracts in 2 months, they made 3 big name loan signings in the last day of the transfer market and not one has really proved himself so far.
