Might sub for Disney channel classics and when they fix Simpsons
I don't know if that was a pre-launch thing or not though.
I'm kinda curious what percentage of money I've made in my life, or will make in my life, will end up in the hands of Disney. It's probably not insignificant.
Going through all the Pixar movies I haven't seen(ie everything outside of Toy Story, Finding Nemo and A Bug's Life)
Monsters Inc is incredible.

Incredibles done. Really don't get the appeal. Also feel like it's much uglier than Monsters Inc visually.
i can only wait for the disney adquisition of slaent

I still love Star Wars and I have overall been happy with what Disney have done. The films might not be the greatest, or rather to everyone’s liking, so far, but I am looking forward to seeing what direction they will head in with other trilogies they have lined up. They gave us two films that nobody asked for, but Rogue One actually turned out well and is my favourite of the new bunch. Rebels was a great cartoon, and Mandalorian is shaping up nicely. I haven’t bothered with Resistance yet.
Also, I really like that everything since Disney has taken off has been canon. Nice having continuity across all The forms of media. I haven’t read any of the new books yet, but I have enjoyed the two runs of Vader comics that I have read. And the Maul one was cool, too.

Rogue One could had been a 20 min film with the opening then Vader stunting the end.

The last 3rd of rouge one was better than anything in 7 or 8.
By Fenderputty Go To PostThe last 3rd of rouge one was better than anything in 7 or 8.besides Vader? 🗑️🗑️🗑️
The only memorable thing Rogue One has is 5 minutes of Vader.
I can watch the movie now and not even remember anything the characters do, say or how their named.
Except Forest Whitaker staying behind because plot.

people like the Vader stuff in Rogue One? I thought it was prequel level garbage whenever he was on screen, especially the moronic fight scene at the end.

By aka Espi Go To PostI think that’s the best job they did showing how intimidating Vader is supposed to be.He probably should had just offed everyone instead of making a grand entrance but I agree

its the best part of the whole movie. when i saw it you could hear the whole theater sit up in their seats.
I thought it was bad.
Opening scene in A New Hope established Vader as above having to go into a ship and fight.
Someone was in that giant writers meeting saying "It would be sooooo cool if Vader came in and just starting killing everyone!!!". It was fan service and detracted from the character.

I thought the last 20 or so minutes of Cars was pretty good. I also really liked the travel montage at the start. I think I would have been more interested in it if it was some sort of road trip type movie. But yeah everything inbetween was really boring. Pixar, at this point, is known as a creative powerhouse and it's like they're finally ascending to that Disney level and then you make an entire movie about cars set in a small town? where all the backgrounds are that same town?
I saw people saying it was a more kid focused movie because it was really popular with kids, but this movie was the LEAST child-like of all the pixar ones I've seen. There's zero sense of adventure, a lot of the characters are just really prickly, it's a really slow movie compared to Pixar's other movies. Which is funny given the subject matter.
The worst of everything I've seen at this point, but It was still pretty alright.

True but they already had him do that in the comics, so they had to have their Awesome Vader Fight scene.
The ship battle was decent but hey, with that budget and the time it came out, it should have great CGI.
It's not the worst SW, but it's near the bottom for sure.
By diehard Go To PostI thought it was bad.Except Vadar always went to the ground. He did in Empire's and even in New Hope he boarded the ship that was lightly guarded. Vadar on the frontlines was why they were wrecking stuff

I think it made perfect sense the contrast between the two Vaders. In Rogue One he needs to get those plans before they depart, so needs to wreck shit quickly. In ANH, they arrogantly think they have them so he leaves it to the stormtroopers to mess shit up at first.
The old EU and the new both have always had Vader be a badass. He is literally the Emperor's pitbull.

I mean Vadar actual was flying a tie-fighter at the end of New Hope, so don't know how it was established he didn't wreck shit personally
I always thought it would be a lot better if, at the end of Rogue One, Vader massacred the band of rebels we've gotten to know throughout the film, instead of random people. Would have made him a lot scarier if you then went into A New Hope with that idea
I love baby Yoda because I want everything currently left unexplained in the Star Wars universe to someday be explained in detail

Some things are more interesting never addressed. Like how they revealed Wolverine's entire origin and Arthur Fleck is probably about to become Joker's canon real name. Life is full of the unanswered and open-ended. I think it's cool they never even dropped the species name of Yoda and Yaddle
Who knows, though. Maybe they won't reveal too many extra details outside of infant physiology

It wouldn’t surprise me if Lucas told them never to go too much into Yoda’s background when he sold the company. Dude didn’t want anything relating to Yoda’s species ever getting out.
By /sy Go To Postpixar sucks
cars 2 was the start of their decline, i believe.
they've made some great movies before that.
Pixar started to suck when the movies stop being fun.
They're making arthouse movies for a young target market.
