Welcome.
The game takes place in a re-imagined late 16th century Sengoku period Japan. In it, the player takes control of a shinobi who was left for dead after his lord was kidnapped and his arm severed by a leading samurai of the Ashina clan. The shinobi awakens to find that his missing arm has been replaced with a prosthetic by a mysterious bushi, who dubs him Sekiro, or "the one-armed wolf". Armed with a katana and the prosthetic, which allows for various tools and gadgets to be installed on it, he sets out to rescue his lord and get revenge.

so uhm for whatever reason this game refuses to perform decently on my system. it seems to be locked around 20fps no matter what i do. i turn it down to lowest res possible and with low graphics and still 20fps. tried disabling secondary monitor as well, and tried going from 240hz monitor to tv, but still nothing. fucking From.

No that's by design. You just need to git gud.
seems like gsync will force it to 20fps (but i dont have gsyns monitor...). but apparently disabling your secondary monitor isnt enough either, you gotta... unplug it? fucking From.
Interested to see how they prevent the combat from getting repetetive if you use the same sword throughout, and there's no basic heavy attack (as far as I know)

First impressions now that it finally works (hdmi through my monitor instead of DisplayPort did it... Fucking From), it feels kind of fucking great to play. My biggest annoyance so far is dying more to falling off shit, than to enemies. But man, it feels like a real tenchu sequel right now. Early cummies so far, pre cummies really.
Starting to get the hang of it
Only took me a few tries to beat Gyoubu Oniwa, but maybe that’s because his attack patterns were more consistent and easier to read.
I don’t really understand how best to use the hook on bosses/mini bosses. Sometimes I could get behind the ogre with it, but other times it would leave me somewhat vunerable

I think this game may have reached the point where it's gone from soul crushingly difficult to kind of easy. Took the Blazing Bull down in two tries. Would've been one but I fucked up and hit the wrong button lmao.

Right now I'm getting the breaks beat off of me by Shibiki Yamauchi. Found the purple ninja dude and he also proceeded to destroy me too. Might finish off Lady Butterfly finally.
