"I CAN'T DO THAT!"
lmao lewis
Lewis is definitely few tenths quicker, so he will get another shot
ok wait they go for 2 stop?
By Spengo Go To PostMax's tires will be shit come the last couple lapsdon' know, those Pirelli hards are hard.;) But Lewis also have o push mega on his mediums, so they will not be new either.
For now Max has the pace, Lewis has to up his and he does, let see how long his tires will keep up with that.
Kevin vs DannyRic
part1
part2 :
5/6 laps and Lewis will have closed the gap, who will have tires left
Max, "Tires are dead" .. Lewis is going to do it !!

Max loosing over a second more right now, Lewis is going to sail past. Great strategy by Merc and Lewis full attack mode !!!!!

Or not
Great job by Mercedes, nice to see them step it up when they were asked to do and mega drive by Lewis. Pushed the rbr at a pace so they could not make it to the finish. And what a mega gap to the Ferrari's, over a minute that must hurt.
Lewis stops all talks about the championship, because it is his and he isn't going to give it away this year.
Sainz great drive best of the rest, bad luck for Norris with poor stop. Bottas should be worried about seat for next year with those two last drives, but still think he will keep it. Gasly is very lucky there is no one else for the seat.
Seb/Charles
Lewis/Max

VER and HAM in a league of there own. Stupid pace from the both of them.

I think that if Valteri would have had a normal start and P2, Max wins this one....... so for that reason alone Toto should keep him.

Massive race from both Max and Lewis. Was a gamble from redbull to stay out which this time didn’t work. Probably would have been a better battle if they did, but max would have definitely ended up behind lewis if he were to pit again. That would have been a more equal fight though. Props to lewis for pushing his merc till the limit.
Good tactics Mercedes. Not alot of close racing today mind.
Any chance Mick Schumacher gets an Alpha seat next year?

By KP Go To PostGood tactics Mercedes. Not alot of close racing today mind.1) He is in the fastest car (Prema) in F2, in what most followers call a weak filed and he is not in the top 10 right now.

He just had a race weekend were he started in P4 (wet), his best Q, in the Feature Race and finished in P8. Result of p8 is you are on pole in the Sprint Race (top 8 in reverse grid order) on a track were it is hard to overtake and he took his 1st win in a Sprint Race. So no mega talent like his dad and he still has a lot to learn, definitely not ready for F1 at the moment.
2) His last name is Schumacher, so you never know, but would say not next year.
Grosjean must have some serious sponsorship behind him for him to have lasted four years longer than Maldonado.
Way to early for Albon, hope Marko does not destroy another driver and gives him enough time.
I gues, besides the lack of pace, the inability by Pierre to fight with other cars was the tipping point. But stepping in mid season is never easy let alone when you are as inexpierenced as Alex is and directly in a top team. At least more likeable than Pierre, so hope he does well.
Grosjean has flashes of real speed and quality, just not enough, Maldonado would spin regular on his out-laps while looking at his displays :P

Like Albon but certainly seems abit early to push him up there but dont suppose they could really do much else. Can't re promote the torpedo.
Autosport could have waited for the FIA windtunnel vid ;)
With rules not even finalised hard to comment on them, but hope they will have a look at the frontwing, ugly.

It looks quite nice, streamlined, 90s style nose and although, it's fine with me but I can't stand the rear wing without end plates.
By Lunatic Go To PostOnce given to engineers it won't look anything like thatteams haven't agreed and signed up yet for 2021, but as a start it is not bad.
Sean added a fantasy livery to the FIA concept.
The non shocking outcome of the 2020 driver carousel.
Bottas stays for another year at Merc:
And Ocon goes to Renault, replacing Hulk, wonder what he will do (Haas, fun with Kevin, or FE with Mercedes?)

Bottas seems content to keep on getting that sweet Merc money and he seems to get on fine with Hamilton. Can't blame him.
And after 4 weeks Holiday we have a race this weekend in the Belgium Ardennes -->Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps.
Like so many other tracks, got more and more a power track, so it should at least give Ferrari a shouting chance to beat Mercedes, at least in qualifying and Max will probably be not to far away, as he has been close to the Mercs for the last few races.
Mercedes(all teams/drivers)/Renault (both+Sainz)/Honda(Albon/Kvyatt) do bring engine updates and for non Merc teams that means penalties and start at the back of the grid.

By Shanks D Zoro Go To PostImpressive from Albon.don't read to much in a FP1 time, gap in FP2(mediums) was back to a second(long runs even more), but he at least does not look scared like Pierre. He needs time to get used to the car, build up confidence and after 3/4 races it is time to judge him imo.
FP1
FP2 full session:
FP2 mediums.
Ferrari mega in 1st sector and OK in S3, loose in S2 but not enough for Mercedes to be close to them single lap. Max did his run on mediums, all kind of issues on the reds (entire session, something (old) engine related). Long runs Mercedes mega, over 1/2 sec faster. They can keep the reds in shape were Ferrari quickly and Max little later drop of a lot. Few laps on Mediums everything looked closer, Mercedes ahead of Max and Ferrari behind that. Could be interesting race wise if Ferrari lock out the front row in qualifying.
Racing Point looked best of the rest, get the feeling they were testing/pushing the new Merc power-unit a bit more. They ended with all kinds of issues, burning feel/smell for Lance and he pitted and Perez stopped on track with flames out of the back of his car (startgrid penalties?)
If the Racing Point problems aren't cooling related but new Merc block, weekend could get a lot more exiting.
And Max with his usual special Orange helmet for Spa:

Although, he was actually faster than Max on their flying soft laps.
Lewis off, hard by the looks of it end sessipn for him, could be gearbox penalties, angle looks ok-isch
Some people need a slapping around :(
And don't think the small Monza rearwing on Max his car is working, they loose to much time in middle sector and don't gain enough on straights.
Think the gap is big enough for Ferrari that they can keep the Merc Q3 party mode behind them and pick-up a front row lock-out. RBR/Max struggling, cannot see them in it, unless they find something in the next two hours.
Perez engine from yesterday was damaged, so he is back to old spec. Just like all the Renault powered teams, back to the old spec, weird and so far no comment on the why (must be some isssue with spec C?).
