By Daz Go To PostMan, TLOU was my game of the last generation,
It pains me admit that I never wanted a sequel and TLOU part 2 just seems uninteresting to me. I am still hyped but man, not as hyped as I should be. Was really hoping for a fresh new IP from ND, as much as I loved TLL, this studio has slowly been disappearing up its own asshole over the last few years.
has the worst jokes & writing of any video game I've ever played.
By DY_nasty Go To Post"I can't comment on how it compares to the others in the franchise but the humor is about what it's always been (according to my colleagues). I guess that means it has always been bad. I think fans will feel right at home OR like they've outgrown literal toilet humor."If you can't even be bothered to have played the other shit before it how can I even trust that "it's the worst jokes you've ever played"? Just what is your library anyway? Also video game review writing is so fucking terrible. Using words like "worst, always, never", just exaggerating and hyperbole is why I can't even fuck with gaming journalism.
psy pls
By Flutter Go To PostThere was no mention of this in the other reviews I've seen
By Flutter Go To PostWonder what the other Sony event that week could be. Ghost of Tsushima? Most likely another state of play. Some buzz for games that release this year and some announcements.
Probably too late for a new game announcement. Seems too early for PS5 info too.

One side mission involves helping a Medic who's also a rapper that keeps offering you his mixtape.I must be a total lame with no comic taste anymore since I find this pretty hilarious. One of my favorite recurring bits on Aqua Teen is Mc Pee Pants who keeps reincarnating.

Gears never should have left last gen but whaelse has ms got? One of their big releases was crackdown
Crack

I wouldn't know, because I haven't played 3, but 2 and the Pre-Sequel had some pretty smart commentary when they wanted to. Curious how the jokes land, in this.

To be fair it's easily believable that a Borderlands game would have the worst humour of any hand you've played, no matter how large and varied your library is
I've definitely never played a game that tries to be funny as often and as loudly as Borderlands 2 does
Personally I think GTA5 has the worst humour of any game I'm well aware of. Just bland, toothless cultural sattire and run of the mill quirky characters.

I'm not really looking forward to it, but I'm sure I'll love it. They haven't shown enough to get excited or pessimistic about it.
Not sure how you can come to the conclusion that they're disappearing up their own arses when they release so few games.

By Hitch Go To PostI'm not really looking forward to it, but I'm sure I'll love it. They haven't shown enough to get excited or pessimistic about it.TLOU2 will be their third game of the gen which is one less than last gen.

Considering they had to scrap and restart uncharted 4 they probably could have squeezed out a Lost legacy style follow up to TLOU2 by the end of this gen.
3-4 games a gen is pretty elite.
By diehard Go To Postmaybe have your fun with Destiny and not treat it like its an MMO that needs to be played for yearsYeah, I enjoyed Destiny 2 for the 40 or so hours I played. Dropped it but think spending 60 dollars on it with the amount of gameplay I got made it worthwhile.

As a huge NDfan since their Jak and Daxter days, since uncharted 2 their games have lost their camp, blockbuster tone an become more heavy and gritty. Even uncharted 4 which I rate really highly was missing something the previous games had making it really difficult to replay.
Just the level of gore and violence already shown in TLOU 2has me kind of perturbed. Maybe it's down to the fact that Bruce Starley has stepped down for a few years now and it's just Druckmann at the helm.
In short, I really miss Amy Hennig.
What Uncharted 4 was missing was better editing. Not as bad as Kojima, but the game doesn't really have a good pace throughout.
When it comes to Amy Hennig, well, she directed Uncharted 3, which was far worse in terms of almost everything.
I agree on anyone who is cautious over the game with the lack of Bruce Starley though. Let's see if Druckmann learnt something from Uncharted 4.
(I loved 4, but it was indeed far from perfect)

Uncharted 3 was bad because it was rushed, they ended up designing the game around the set-peices they already built.
All in all, I think they lost something when Amy left.

Not to mention you can't really excuse Amy Hennig for Uncharted 3 because it was rushed, since that was on her as the director.

Hennig has lost the plot, doubt it's a coincidence that everything she's done since 2009 has been either dogshit or cancelled.

They already announced the release date and had to meet it.

I liked it until the third act, although even before then the questionable decision to make everything more dark was a problem.
The secret evil organisation was interesting, and then it's like they just threw the potential aside.
oh, 'killing' off Sully felt like a risky move, only for it to turn out that all the monsters were a hallucination and he's still alive.

Druckmann has been trying tio kill sully since UC2, thank Allah for Bruce Strarley for keeping that edgelord in check.
They ruined the cruise liner set-piece in Uncharted 3 before it was released and some other set-pieces too, iirc they only showed the helicopter chase in the city with Uncharted 2 and that was it. I've enjoyed all of the Uncharted games so far, but 3 and 4 definitely felt less polished.
Uncharted 3 felt massively disjointed. That episode with ship-graveyard and the Egyptian bounty-hunter cut have been cut without anyone missing it. At least in terms of overall plot progression. And the final act was severely unpolished.
Uncharted 4 though was obviously burdened by the massive gameplay change (removing climbing stamina). Big stretches of the game felt terribly paced because they were planed with the stamina in mind. Removing this element made it an unchallenging, pacing killing bore. Also wasn't a fan of the overall story and ending. All in all it felt polished in some ways and lacking in others. And that ending definitely felt like Druckmann putting a lid on all possible adventure scenarios for Nathan Drake, to finally put this franchise to rest.
Fair enough because it was getting stale, but I have to admit that I enjoyed every second of Nolan North as Nathan Drake. I'd watch 10 seasons of a McGuyver/Indiana Jones type TV-show with that character.

A bit annoyed that there'll be a meeting at night. Was looking forward to trying out Greedfall.
