By Zabojnik Go To PostLook at these Intel fangirls trying to spin everything into a negative.
Not at all baby, Intel are just as shitty for their """"""95w TDP"""""" 9900K.
Edit: I think we’re overdue a 3DMark throwdown. I’m ready to take the Slaent crown.
By diehard Go To Postso the LG 38GL950G is $2kAnd it’s not even HDR10?!
Sounds like paper launch for the SUPERs next week-ish. Release in mid-July. Assume that doesn't include the 2080ti SUPER tho.

By Adam Go To Post🤔 Someone was awfully quiet last year and now he frontingYou're messing, surely? I went balls deep overclocking in my DAN case at the time, beat Smokey's GPU score and came close to his old CPU score with the Ryzen 1600.

Now I've got all the thermal and power headroom I need to overclock the balls off this system. Only thing holding me back is the 280w power limit on my 2080Ti, but once I mod the BIOS I'll be rolling 2000+ mhz easy.

I'm just joshing you.
Just wait till summer, Vapes-sama
Hello Friends,
I know I'm probably in the wrong neighborhood.
I am in the market for a solid tablet for travel and I would very much like to rekindle my passion for art. So something compatible with versitile vbrush like tools.
budget is around 1k brexits.
thanks a bunch!

Careful m8. you might wake up a beast that u cannot contain. Ask Adam.

Get the 12 core Ryzen, m8. I dare you. 3DMark doesn't scale well past 10 cores

Put my rig and peripherals into pcpartpicker...
Whole setup is around $5,800 🤔
The price for True Ascension lads
The monitor and GPU are 53% of the cost lol

By Bold 2 in One Go To PostHello Friends,Unfortunately, I don't know much about this segment and don't know of any trusted sources I could refer you to. All I know is that Adobe is coming out with a watercolor brush relatively soon, but that's just software and not hardware.

Maybe just an iPad? Make sure it is compatible with whatever program you want to use.

That's not a benchmark, m8
By HottestVapes Go To PostThat's not a benchmark, m8it's a pocketbook benchmark
If you really want the best art experience possible, It's the iPad Pro. If's its just a side thing that you want, a Surface Pro will work well.

in case there are any other super nerds in here, Ian Cutress from Anandtech did a video with Wendel from L1Techs: https://youtu.be/cTmnyOZ0pE4
Good stuff.
Would be nice if Intel released the 9900ks at a competitive price to counter AMD's incoming onslaught of CPUs, but they probably won't on principle, the rich cunts.

That video got me going down a rabbit hole and I learned that there is no such thing as too much thermal paste for a CPU (within reason): https://www.gamersnexus.net/guides/3346-thermal-paste-application-benchmark-too-much-thermal-paste
The only time you need to worry about too much is if the paste is conductive and it spills over.

Welcome to the 200IQ club, Kib. I glaze the IHS like a donut and let the mounting pressure do it’s thing.
Less often than I probably should. Switched motherboards three times and CPUs three times, AMD to Intel and still using the original install
By DominicanPower Go To PostHow often do you guys clean install? When switching motherboard, cpu, or the storage that the OS is installed on.
3+ years on the same Win10 installation, 0 problems, 0 reasons to format and reinstall.
But yeah, what Kibner said. Except I doubt I'd bother, if all I did was upgrade the CPU. Motherboard and OS drive, for sure.

My custom cables are finally on the way. Didn't think CableMod would be so slow. Ordered on the last day of May.

This will be lovely. Probably not out until 2022.
The monitor is currently being previewed, so it could be a while before it hits retail. Aside from the 4K resolution and 144Hz refresh rate, this monitor stand apart from the pack thanks to Display Stream Compression technology, which is allows Ultra HD video streams across a single interface. This technology means that you can run at 4K/144Hz without chroma subsampling, which was an issue found with the very first 4K/144Hz monitors to hit the market. It also means all of this can be done over a single DisplayPort 1.4 connection, rather than needing two.

I'm 100% set on my custom loop parts now.
Swiftech Apogee II pump/block combo, Phanteks 2080Ti waterblock, XSPC TX240 radiator along with recycling my current 240mm copper radiator off this Alphacool AIO. Already got the reservoir too thanks to eBay, one of these custom made for the NCase
Soft tubing though, I don't think hard tubing with clearance this limited between the radiator/block would be bueno. May do both, soft for connecting the side radiator to the rest of the components then hard tubing everywhere else, but I'll probably keep it simpler for now.

By Zabojnik Go To PostThat is a tiny ass reservoir, Vapes. Good luck and may you only leak in the shitter.
If I can make waterproof zips for a living, I think I can make a leak-proof loop.

That’s a Louqe Ghost S1, the white whale of SFF cases. Hard as fuck to find in stock. Good case though. Jayztwocents did a custom loop in it a while ago, worth a watch.
By Smokey Go To PostIt looks clean afThey’re listed on Amazon now. Get yourself the ASRock or Asus Z390i and get downsizing.
Literally £1000 more than what I paid for the X27. A line must be drawn.
Tell you what though, I'd be down for a Samsung C49RG90SSU. That 1440p ultrawide that's basically two 27 inch monitors stuck together. HDR10, 120hz, 49 inches wide, and affordable too
