Didn’t see Far From Home yet due to MCU exhaustion. Felt like I let my bwoi Jake down tho. Will wait for home release.
it might have been due to me being somewhat high, but man, i really liked that detective pikachu movie.
Watched the Lion King. Incredible film, jaw dropping visuals...but Beyonce sucked. Totally phoned it in and didn't care to put any emotion into her lines. James Early Jones the GOAT though. New Scar was amazing too. Incredible performances all around, and I loved John Oliver as Zazu - made me forget Rowan Atkinson was the original. Timon and Pumba were also amazing. Really, the entire cast was absolutely sensational.
But Beyonce? Flat as a board. I think casting and Jon Favreau were hoping to land an inspired choice, but she may have been worse here than in Austin Powers 3.

Shut it down. They finally settled the debate over what's the worst list in the history of lists.
Great list imo
By n8 dogg Go To PostGreat list imoI'm surprised you like it given that it has only 1 Nolan movie on there and not even his best movie.
Imagine being so blinded by PTA fanboyism you declare that there are only 99 movies better than Inherent Vice in the last decade
Magic Mike XXL is far better than the first film by virtue of not being a dull, two hour economics lesson, but is it really the 26th best film this decade. I have my doubts.
By reilo Go To PostI'm surprised you like it given that it has only 1 Nolan movie on there and not even his best movie.I think Inception was definitely his best of the decade.
I saw Once Upon a Time in Hollywood, at an early screening in....Hollywood. I liked it, it’s a slow burn and I feel it might be a little divisive. The more I digest the film, the more I like it but I don’t think it reaches the peaks of Pulp Fiction and Inglorious Basterds though.

Probably the only Nolan I’d have in or near my top 100.

Numbers are all arbitrary at some point. By and large there’s a hell of a lot of good movies on that list, and if they wanted to fit more of the others in it would have been a longer list. Just because Whiplash isn’t on there doesn’t mean they don’t think it’s good.

is Spring Breakers really that good? I've seen it in a couple of lists already.
Ash Is The Purest White is better than any movie in the top ten...
In fact that’s a pretty western list overall with straight up bad movies on it. Just have to remember that IndieWire and a lot of these writers don’t actually seek films out and only see shit at festivals or for paid work

Spring Breakers is some special bullshit. It's so hilariously shit that other people will tell you it's good.
Spring Breakers is fun. Ashley Benson and Vanessa Hudgens eye candy. Guwop and Franco playing a knock off Riff Raff. I watch it a few times a year.
Haven't seen Spring Breakers for a while but I remember being quite hypnotised by it lol, it's like a fever dream or something.
Just watched 'Room' with Brie Larson, thought it was good. The little kid is great for his age.

Yeah i think it’s brilliant. Gorgeous to look at, some really great performances. Quixotic fever dream of a movie.
Spring Breakers just bored me to be honest, feel like I've seen that movie already a couple times over and done much better.

Dissect this for me as I cannot understand how you can objectively think Inception is better The Prestige or not think The prestige wouldnt be near a top 100?

Granted, maybe n8 was being literal about the 2010s- for his Top 100, in which case Prestige wouldn't qualify.
But it still exists and I still judge Inception in relation to it.
