If my years of browsing rate my poo has taught me anything its that a well shot turd is still a turd
Spiderverse was fine. Not nearly as good as the internet wanted me to believe and certainly not better than incredibles 2.

Had a great time with Captain Marvel. I really hope Marvel leans super hard into the cosmic side of their universe, more than they have. Every time they do it's always a ton of fun.
By Laboured Go To PostStill digesting Burning. Liked it but was expecting to like it more I guess. It's just ok.

Spider-Verse is 100% better. Story, animation, and everything is just on a whole other level when compared to boring as fuck Pixar animation.
Get over the black protag and accept the truth
Feel like nobody even noticed Incredibles 2 coming out after a decade of wanting it
Like new Twin Peaks innit

By HasphatsAnts Go To PostPixar wish they can write a scene as real and as honest as that scene with Miles and his dad.
Shit they wish they could write a scene that's 1/4 as good of the leap of faith scene
By n8 dogg Go To PostIncredibles 2 was mediocre as balls
There’s like a small subset of Pixar fans trying to preach like it’s some underrated masterpiece and not some average movie with one alright action scene

I like Coco, but I havent been enamoured with a Pixar movie in years. The last few seem to meld with one another in my mind into a melodramatic blob.
I loved the human parts of Coco but the bits in the spirit world were just okay. Pixar’s last excellent movies were Inside Out (2015) and Toy Story 3 (2010).
Pixar hasn't put out a great movie since Wall E. Everything after has been middling marvel tier movies.
Into the Spiderverse is leagues above anything Disney/Pixar has done in terms of visuals, characters or plot.
Especially visuals. Pixar/Disney have been using the same visual style for all their stuff for way too long.

Incredibles 2 was very okay.
But ten years? If Big Hero 6 can get a series then Incredibles should too. Way better format for it.

By MonadL Go To PostUp is the best Pixar movie ever madeUp should've been a short film. It shoulve ended as the house leaves for its destination
Up is meh after a barnstorming first half hour. Wall-E’s first half is impeccable and the second just pretty good.
Ratatouille GOAT Pixar.

Like...everything being attractive to the nth level feels too much. Not sure how to describe it--everyone looks like a model, the colors are set to maximum, etc. Just needs more of a gradient to it.
