He's a beast
So this is pretty funny:

Eleven Sports are showing Spanish games (and possibly Italian games in future) during the 3pm Saturday slot in the UK.
Interesting to see how this goes. So far as I'm aware, I don't think there's an actual law in place to enforce the 3pm blackout, it's just a UEFA regulation. Attempts to fine pubs for showing 3pm games that have been legally challenged have been dropped in the past.

By Spengo Go To PostPaco can’t stop scoring. He's a prime example of a player who was being held back by a non-existing system implemented by a coach who was never fully aware of his capabilities, nor utilized his traits properly, and never gave him a single chance to prove his worth or potential. They just got him to early.
Should have loaned him back to Valencia for a year or two. With Suarez getting older, it's about time to find a replacement and get him regularly involved to build him up.
Whatever. We're going to activate the clause. There was an article about how our sporting director made the deal. They watched him before he went to Barca, but basically said that it's not worth to keep an eye on him anymore, once he was at Barca. Zorc flew to him twice, asked why he went to Barca in the first place, while he was absolutely sure it would be an amazing deal, if they could get him.
Alcacer himself seems to integrate himself pretty well, despite his lacking english/german skills, he's really trying to participate and get into team activities. Some player said "you can really see that he wants to live and feel the team, that he wants to arrive in Dortmund".
Great stuff by Zorc again. Didn't really think we would be able to get a good striker for a good price again.
By Meier Go To PostSeeing First Man tonight in IMAX. Can't wait.
how was it?
comes out next week. looking forward to it.

It is not a UEFA thing as far as a I know. It is just a football league regulation that everyone has just continued to follow.
Any legal right holders should not have a problem showing foreign games.
I am guessing Sky never showed the La Liga games that started during that time slot just didn’t want to piss off those involved in the domestic game.

It's hilarious cus the EPL and FL sell rights to show 3pm games abroad, which is a massive fucking hypocrisy.
By LFMartins86 Go To PostYeah, UEFA has nothing to do with the 3 PM blackout, it's a purely English thing.
The optional Uefa regulation is only currently enforced in England, Scotland and Montenegro, and has stood in the UK since the 1960s.
Apparently Barca think they have a chance of buying De Ligt in the winter transfer window. Must be some good shit they smoking up there.

If City interfere with our Ajax supply pipeline we are fucked. We need that to live.
Rojo made a good toast. Forgot about that.
Didn't he also post an "inspirational quote" from Pablo Escobar, or something? Madman.
But I've got to say the number 1 thing I'll always remember him for is when he decided it was a clever idea to clear the ball in his own box by doing the rabona.

Roma.

By Linius Go To PostKluivert probably thinks he's already better than Totti.
By Pennywise Go To PostThey just got him to early.Glad he’s getting game time now and showing what he can do. To be fair, he didn’t really fit our system. He is great at arriving in the box and finishing. Barça's attack sits around the box and strikers need to make movements in tight spaces. He also can’t do much to link play which is a must for any Barça attacker 1/2. The way Dortmund plays is similar to the way Valencia does, it’s not a surprise he is scoring goals again.

I wouldn't mind them wearing the Barca shirt at some point in their career. Just not any time soon. Unless you guys wire us 200 million in the summer.
By Laboured Go To PostHaha, and there you lads were, thinking it's Friday and that, for once, you may not want to die.
By bud Go To Posthow was it?I thought it was fantastic. The native IMAX portion is very short, only 5-10 minutes sadly, but I appreciated seeing it on such a huge screen otherwise and the sound was fantastic.
comes out next week. looking forward to it.
I'm not saying anything new, but it's a very personal film. All of the actual missions were shot so well though... you'd really never guess that the director hadn't made something of this nature before. I learned quite a bit as well.. honestly knew very little about the various deaths of the astronauts in the program. Also, Buzz Aldrin was apparently quite a dick, haha.
By Flutter Go To PostDon't really see the point in De Ligt tbh. He looks like a fantastic talent but we have a glut of CBs as is and it's not like he's better than Otamendi or Kompany at this moment in time so he comes in as 5th choice and that feels like a total waste of time and money.
I want Ndombele, but hey, if we're signing two midfielders I'd take Frenkie as well. Will never turn down having another De Jong in midfield.
de ligt is only 19 remember, and he's more talented than any of our CBs, I'd love him at City but yeah probably not who we should be focusing on
i kinda wish we got ziyech instead of mahrez tbh

By Diego! Go To PostHave to say Ginger Spice looks pretty hot in that Chelsea kit.Corden claims to be a West Ham fan but no Hammer would appear dead in a Chelsea kit.
By FortuneFaded Go To PostCorden claims to be a West Ham fan but no Hammer would appear dead in a Chelsea kit.Just watched this video via Twitter and came to say the same thing. I'm shocked he agreed to do it. Or that he didn't rip it off to unveil a West Ham shirt underneath at the end or something.

Also, PSG-Red Star looks like it had match fixing.. this will be interesting: https://www.lequipe.fr/Football/Article/Soupcons-de-match-truque-sur-psg-etoile-rouge-belgrade/948924
By bud Go To Postthanks for the writeup, meier. The acting is great throughout of course. Armstrong was apparently a very, very introspective person so Gosling is perfect in that regard. It is amazing how much he can say as an actor without saying anything. This movie has a lot of very tight shots during action moments and otherwise. They really nail the claustrophobia aspect.
By Spengo Go To PostImagine comparing Matthijs to OttermendiPeople love to inflate the actual quality of young players when comparing them to established veterans. It's a natural side effect of games like FM or FIFA. He is not "better" than Otamendi. I obviously believe he will be in the future, although they are very different types of CBs, but he isn't there yet. He doesn't have the experience necessary.
It's like City fans who said Maffeo was better than Danilo. No he isn't. Not in 2017. Not in 2018. Will he be? Probably. And I would have rather we played him/kept him over signing Danilo, but that doesn't mean he's better right now. It's a weird thing that people love to conflate.
