Imagine that you're a woman, that's had a terrible day at work. Your boss, which sees himself as a womanizer, consistently says some gross sexist stuff when he thinks he's not being heard. And, you know, sometimes he's being heard. But he's been there for 35 years, so you have to close your eyes, sigh and keep doing your best at work because bills and crap.

Then you get back home, tired as hell and wanting to play some game as a form of escapism. You boot up Cyberpunk 2077, a nice looking title which stars a self-insert power fantasy character with whom you can wreck shit and everything. And then, you meet this dude, who calls you X or Y. And, you know, it normally wouldn't be a problem. But today, since you've had a bad day, it does.

Now I know a lot of these people barely get out of their house. But this is some next level stuff. Do they even survive watching tv shows, reading books or listening to music at home, without getting upset?

I hope someday they wake up to realise they're neither progressive nor left leaning. Only ever care about themselves and how they are perceived among their niche community. Bunch of hypocrites. A place for "minorities" and the "marginalised" my backside. It's an orchestrated echo chamber stuck on repeat in order for those involved to make them feel better about their own measly lives.

I am genuinely amazed at how a week off the internet changed my entire view on how fucking unimportant 99% of the news and arguments are, also how quickly I can go back to the internet and get sucked in again. Unplugging might be a genuine thing to consider, so easy to get lost in arguments and being right or being angry at something or someone, its never about the positivity its always about "Here is how I feel, you need to know, here is why what I read/you said makes me miserable, listen to my anger".

I’m in charge of all of work’s social media accounts but we do positive environmental projects so we’re largely immune from criticism, thankfully. Previously, I ran social media for a newspaper and by god, that was a full-time job of pacifying fuckwits and ignorant people. It really soured your view of humanity.

I recently went through a rough patch with the girlfriend and deleted all social media except FB Messenger so I’d stop being tempted to see what she was up to. Was fantastic. A real brain-cleanser. I still haven’t installed Snapchat or Instagram and I have to say I’m yet to miss either.

Mine was in animation production so we had to deal with from children to young adults. Before I left the total of subscribers to the Youtube channel was more than a million, so you can imagine how many Resetera level people I have to deal with every day.

Although the biggest problem for me was the noise. Having to handle the different conversations, arguments, PR is exhausting. You just realise how worthless all that is in actual life, and more akin to screaming in public.

Afterwards I helped around with my father in law's agriculture business (since he's 70 and it was up to my brother in law to single handedly do most of the work in providing lemongrass to the markets in two cities) and you kinda realise why a lot of people in the entertainment industry opt to just open a farm.

Are these people so sheltered that the usage of Spanglish is frowned upon, ESPECIALLY when Cyberpunk is dealing with you and your partner being from the seedy underbelly where there's definitely an abundance of slang used, in any community on earth.

and yes, Resetera has gone to a full blown parody. The mods and admins are just not well equipped with the decision making to run it well. Hell, I'd take Aeana, y2kev and Duckroll over most of them.

Dialogue is so rote and cliched. FUCK. FUCK. This makes me angry, why do video games 100% SUCK at this? Where is the nuance, the subtlety, anything but cardboard angry cookie cutter cliched characters screaming at each other? Why do so many movies have good dialogue and almost every game BAD BAD BAD dialogue?

I mean yeah, scene after scene in the demo is really angry people screaming at each other, over the top. Like, chill out. In real life people dont act like that. In real life gangsters doing deals DONT ACT LIKE THAT. They maintain a veneer of friendliness, calmness and normalcy, in large part. How is this garbage remotely realistic??! It all smacks of developers constantly trying to be cute and edgy.

That said, looks cool game.

Oh, and main thing is the fact there's a demo this detailed means it might actually come out this decade.
