Certainly as far as American sports go, there is a very good chance at some point that a perennially weak NFL team could get moved to London. Spurs and Fulham (with Khan buying Wembley) are certainly counting on the possibility. Khan is definitely at least giving himself an option to move the Jags in the future. I don't think they'd start one from scratch in London but that may be easier.
Either way, this sort of thing will start small and honestly almost assuredly remain small for quite some time. If only because the US market will ultimately get games from lots of leagues – why bother to just have La Liga when they can get a few from each of the top 5 and before you know it have 20 games during the season from various leagues. China will be the same of course. You'll probably see it grow to 4 or 6 games total [league wide] in 10 years after it starts.
