My cousin told me she was done buying movies for her kids these days because shit was too expensive and hated kids hogging the home theater - so she set up a VCR (breath smokey breathe) in the den and let them go through our old collection growing up.
I was thinking that those kids were gonna watch some more well known and trash stuff like The Land Before Time, but you know what they first thing they saw was?
Those kids were in awe. I forgot this movie existed and now that I remember it is the best movie in the world all over again.
I don't know if I'm strong enough to watch Bambi with them though. I would probably die.

It's funny that some of the 80s stuff I grew up on you guys are listing probably would not be "kids' movies" today. Secret of NIHM and Watership Down were some real shit. Loved me some Willow, that series needed a sequel.

Ace Ventura 1+2 and generally the earlier works by Jim Carrey should also be a good choice.

I just bought all the movies in a 5 pack for my daughter. Has three of the older movies and both of the newer remakes (both good IMO)
