By Kermit Go To PostAnyone else think it’s fucking mental that we’re about to pay $75m for fucking Mahrez? He’s a $35m buy at best. Absolute nonsense.Morata was bought for like 80 million
I don’t have such a big problem with the Jeffrey Tambor thing. He may be an asshole to work with but I have friends who yelled at me or gave me intensely personal insults but I’ve long since accepted that you have to just take the bad with the good. I have my own way of being a cunt to people and I have massive respect for the people around me for putting up with my shit, too. It doesn’t make it right, but you can’t turn every person around you into a kind, sensitive human being. Some people are always going to have their moments, and you might be on the wrong end of it. The only thing you can do is avoid internalizing it, because ultimately this is their problem, not yours.
It’s not about whether he’s right or wrong, though he’s almost certainly wrong. It’s about the inevitability of it.

By Shanks D Zoro Go To PostIcardi? The only way I'd sign off on Icardi to Juve is if Allegri comes out and says we'll be playing a different brand of football. In Allegri's current system, whichever variation you look at, the striker is someone who backtracks a whole lot and does a ton of dirty work. Something Higs is actually really great at, which rarely if ever gets mentioned. It's also the source of the current great divide between Juve fans. 'Let the strikers (Higs and Dybala) play as strikers, not as do-it-all hybrids.' In our current setup, Icardi, who's a sensational finisher, but doesn't contribute shit, would be a fish out of water.
Yes please, I wanted him when he was at Samp, ai remember Zabo saying no thanks even then.

I am willing to give Icardi the benefit of the doubt. If he wants to come to Juve then surely they would have discussed what they expect from him.
I also think it would be best just ro let him do his own thing. Not every player needs to drop deep and work his arse off without the ball. That isn’t to say they shouldn’t at all, but he contributes more by his movement up top and creating space for other places.
I don’t think he will come though. Can’t see him leaving Inter after finally getting into the CL.
By Shanks D Zoro Go To PostI don’t think he will come though. Can’t see him leaving Inter after finally getting into the CL.Well, of course he won't come. It's just Wanda making waves to get the Chinese to spread their wallet. We have other priorities anyway.
They’re gonna let you keep Darmian until he’s free. They’re too clever to pay over the odds for a player you don’t want and they don’t desperately need. They only need to hang on for another year
Not really. Darmian doesn't have a place in our team next season and he knows this. If Juve were to do that, then he'd just look for a move somewhere else. No player is willing to sit idle and waste one year of their already short careers to be the puppet of a club that didn't even value him at £12m or whatever the deal ends up being.

Yes, at 28 he’s not going to want to be a nothing player for another year. But coming from you guys his wages are going to be no small matter, so his options are limited. I suppose he could potentially return to Italy for Milan, Napoli or Inter, though I really don’t know if they need a left back or not.
I was barely being serious anyway. Seems like D-Lads already has one foot in the door there.

we're pretty good at reaching finals under jose. its the other shit that the team has an issue w/
As time's gone on, I'm becoming more disappointed with Saturday
I don't tend to dwell on individual moments as much as I used to (largely because I can't see it ever getting worse than the Gerrard slip) but its such a shame for the players, most of whom in all likelihood won't play in a CL final again.
As the ill-fated marketing slogan goes though, we go again. Get our transfers right again, and maybe we'll make a habit of competing for honours in May, and surely we and Klopp will win one eventually.
While the feeling is a bit similar to the end of 13/14, I trust us not to lose our best player and make a complete pig's ear of our transfer business this time.
Any good all-touch videos of a Fabinho match?

Darmian is a nothing player in the stands or on the pitch, so there's no reason for him to take a pay cut
Listened to the post-final podcasts at work, a few mentions that we're in for Butland. Wish that link would just die tbh. I like Butland, but he was fucking dreadful this year. Even at his best I don't think that he'd give us what we need, let him prove that he's good again at Southampton or Watford or somewhere.

I do not think barcelona are forcing kids to play at their academy against their will.
By Eternity Go To PostRamos knew exactly what he was doing, his arm is in a completely unnatural position. Cunt.
Did Ramos use his arm to give himself an advantage in the tackle? I don't know if it was his intent, but it was effective. Then unfortunately they fell and Salah came off worse.

Barca raid after clubs talented kids, and then they get raided. Seems fair to me. That is part of the game.

By Shanks D Zoro Go To PostSo the exact same as those players who decide to leave Barcelona.I agree with sentiment, but you have to agree that the offer of a lucrative contract now is more enticing than just the possibility of such a contract when you turn 18, especially because you are never guaranteed to make the first team. Arsenal for example are a team who has benefitted from such contract laws in Spain.
Barca raid after clubs talented kids, and then they get raided. Seems fair to me. That is part of the game.
But the kid in question is 19., he is leaving on his own free will after already signing a professional contract.
I would be more inclined to feel for Barca if they didn’t have a scummy record of recruiting youngsters to their academy.

No chance m8, I’m not on board with the petitions or anything but that tackle and the effect it had isn’t going to just disappear from memory. People aren’t just going to say “yeah you’re right I guess it’s alright” and be OK with it two days after losing the CL final
Nor when he elbowed Karius in the face later on.

You are right in regards the scummy tactics but I would not be surprised if many other teams committed similar offences and only a few were actually punished. But lets leave it there for now, I just would love to see academy breaking into first teams at the clubs the were brought up in more often, this goes for all the major clubs.
I would place a high probability on Ramos grabbing Salahs arm deliberately, but a low probability that he did it with intent to injure. The guys just a cunt who tackles like that, but not some judo mastermind

I think the real problem that a lot of Liverpool fans don't want to admit. Is that someone like Ramos can go in a bit harder because he knows Liverpool ain't got any one who will step up to offer the same shit back to RM.

Barca is the last club on earth who can complain about scummy tactics.
The majority of those players wouldn't play at Barca either way. Think back to Jordi Mboula and how Barca fans complained and he played like 2 games for Monaco.
Signing those players is also a risk, but just alot cheaper.
