Sounds like we're getting Fellaini for £27 million and no one else.

No, GQ was trolling.
Ugh, I have this crushing sense of inevitability about the final. This will not end well. And it’s only two days away now.
The final is tomorrow
Starting to brick it. Fearing the kind of loss that makes you wish you'd been knocked out in the semi.

I can practically see how it plays out in my head. Marcelo pushes up on the left wing, puts in a great cross, Ronaldo heads it at straight at Karius who punches it away, Henderson collects it and shunts it straight at Salah who is running into the space Marcelo left open, then Ramos comes across and pulls Salah down by his shirt just outside the box. 5 Real players instantly surround the ref because they know it’s a red card offense, but Ramos only gets a yellow because it’s Real. Salah puts in a decent free kick that ricochets off the bar. Bale collects it, then ghosts past Wijnaldum. Lovren puts a suicidal slide tackle in and misses both the ball and the man completely. Virgil can’t track both Bale and Ronaldo, who scores a tap in from Bale’s casual delivery. Ronaldo celebrates like he was the architect, Liverpool’s spirit is crushed. We don’t get another chance until the 88th minute when Wijnaldum heads wide from a perfect Salah cross. GG 1-0 Madrid.

Come on man, 4-2 someone gonna win it.
What are you Atletico?
It always seems that the games you expect the most from are always the most disappointing. I can see it ending 1-0, but 3-1 Madrid feels entirely possible as well.
...but then again Juventus had only conceded 3 goals coming into last years final, in which they then conceded 4 goals in that final match, more than their whole CL campaign leading to the final.
Anything can happen on Saturday.

Sunday 4.45am for me. I'll be watching alongside about 700 Liverpool supporters and quietly hoping Real cakewalk it. #justiceforthebus
(I'll be a little happy for your Liverpool lads if you win it, I'll admit. But still).

Gotta be the most polarising studio out there
Even games that reviewers consider bad, they accept that they're well crafted. Views of Quantic Dream games wildly swing between irredeemable trash that you'd be an idiot to enjoy, well-presented enjoyable tosh, and engrossing stories pushing the boundaries of the hardware
I personally fall in that middle category, with a simultaneous exasperation with Cage and dislike of the way everything he's involved with is jumped upon in a mad scramble for people to be the most vociferous in criticism of him, and condescending to those who enjoy his games.
He doesn't help himself though tbf
Wonder how Heavy Rain holds up in the wake of Life Is Strange and Until Dawn, there are obviously tonnes of issues with it but I hold it in much higher regard than I do Beyond, which felt like a mess as I was playing it, almost start to finish. Then again, as far as entertainment tropes go, I care less for possession than Sean Dyche does.

Keita in midfield with Fekir and the front 3 sounds even more attacking than we were with Coutinho
Van Dijks easy domination of a lone striker should make us far less susceptible to the long ball counter though, helped by the improvements in Henderson and the fullbacks, and Karius being in goal instead of Mignolet. Karius ain't perfect, but Mignolets starting position and speed off his line are incredibly poor for this system.
If a ball travels 40 yards onto the penalty spot and the striker has to run 30 yards to get there, the keeper should probably be there first

The Oddinho Champions League final prediction is quite apt. Expect deflected goals, goalkeeper spills and stunning late game tap ins. Madrid to win 4-0 or an even more probable but just as underwhelming 7-0. Should be a good one.
Really excited for the final now.
Also excited to see Father John Misty and Courtney Barnett. Going to see the Orielles on the indie stage instead of Manics.
Excited for this 8th to get repealed today.
New Chvrches album out today, and BTBAM Automata II announced for July 13

The moment we heard Cage was making a new game, tons of people in the industry had their knives out - couple that with the general dislike for "movie games" the climb was always going to be uphill so 80 MC is very good.
Whats 100% happening, is Liverpools best players this season will have their worst games of the season in the final. Remember this post when Salah has a nightmare vs Madrid.
The final is going to go same as usual, "wow madrid are so lucky to still be 0-0 here, Liverpool are all over them" 40 minutes into the game. Then Madrid will score a header, Liverpool will press to try equalise, concede more etc.

I can already see Ronaldo in yards of space rising up to smash home a header because Lovren lost him and Van Dijk was on Ramos
By Ushojax Go To PostDavid Cage is the Tommy Wiseau of video games.
Lol I would find this very accurate if it didn’t seem near impossible to make a story-based game without embarrassing writing. If you were comparing a Cage game to a movie, OK sure, point taken, it’s garbage.

I think if Lovren can settle into the game in the first half without too much pressure, we can avoid a classic Degsy disaster. But if Real are clever, they’ll have people running at him with the ball when the game is in the early stages and hasn’t had a chance to settle. That’s when he’s liable to do something stupid.

I don't know about you guys but in this game I would actually play Clyne instead of Trent. Clyne is more defensive focus than Trent.
