By OneTwoTee Go To PostOtamendi is going to be #exposed at the WC.Aye.
The reason why Otamendi looks better is because they have great ball retention upfield and Fernandinho to smooth out mistakes when they happen. Not to mention capable fullbacks that can do their jobs defensively.
He was good, but not at all great, or world class.

Idk why you keep saying this.
Ah, I see an Extremely Bad Take 'pon yonder horizon.
Aye, bet Suarez is well disappointed with his 9 trophies, including a CL trophy, since leaving. Could've won *licks finger and lifts it in the air* oh I'd say none, if he'd stayed.
Also bet Coutinho is well disappointed with his 2 trophies, including a league title, in his 4 months since leaving. Could've won *licks second finger and lifts it in the air* oh I'd say none, if he'd stayed.

but then again, we don't know for sure which trophy Coutinho values more; the league title with Barcelona or the Liverpool FC Fans Player of the Year.
Would have kinda agreed on Coutinho but he's made himself something of a key player in the last weeks of the season, good platform for the rest of his Barca career
Suarez point is obviously nonsense, he left in the summer and we were a pile of shite without him for two seasons while he was scoring goal after goal and winning trophy after trophy.

By inky Go To PostThe league was won by the time Cuntinho moved.
Work smarter, not harder, buddy.
He's probably okay *sticks finger in ass, sniffs it* with how he's being compensated financially while living in Barcelona vs Merseyside.
..would be my assumption given how he forced himself into this position.

I would like to think that he has days where he's sitting on the porch, eating a paella, and shedding a tear at the memories of enjoying UK's weather with a ploughman's sandwich in one hand.
By inky Go To PostThe league was won by the time Cuntinho moved.still gets a medal tho.

Santos apparently want Bryan Ruiz. Given that the Brazilian league is played at a slower pace, he might play well there.

edit: looks like the majority of the Argentinian papers want Armani to start anyways.

Argentina have a fair few world class players, but pretty much all of them are strikers. There is no way they could really fit Messi, Higuain, Aguero and Dybala all in the same 11. Is Di Maria world class? Seems like such a term would be trading heavily on a single season 4 years ago. He's certainly a confirmed soft lad, and a couple of years facing no competition can't have done him much good. Otamendi sure as fuck ain't world class.
Seems to me that having an unbalanced team with a few genuine stars, a few squad players and a share of chumps is no different from an England or a Belgium, even if Messi gives them the edge over that pair.

That said I'll be happy to see how good Armani is this summer. Not that I care that much for Romero, he's just our backup keeper.

Gotta say if Matic isn't whispering sweet nothings into SMS's ear and fondling his balls this World Cup I'll be very disappointed.
By Laboured Go To PostlulzPretty much expected after he fired Hasenhüttl and there is hardly any other candidate.
Only other possible solution is getting the other Plastic Bulls coach.
