By Perfect Blue Go To PostSo apparently Roman Abramovich is moving to Israel and becoming an Israeli citizen. Israelis don't need a visa to go to the UK.lmao fair play

I didnt have lunch for obvious reasons, but my wife made coconut rice + sambal squid for breaking of fast. It was heavenly.
Don’t know why people want any game longer than five hours in a world where Rainbow Six Siege exists.
All agency meeting buffet for me today. A couple triangles ham and mustard butties with some red pepper and houmous. Shite. No pudding options either. Expect a nice lemon drizzle.

By Perfect Blue Go To PostI'm starting to think Pogba is a luxury player akin to Ozil who needs a squad attuned to him specifically to get the best out of him.
M8 I told people that he was a luxury player. I love him to bits, but he is the type you don’t even build a team around. You have all the players in place and then sign him to do his thing. Players will Pogba’s skillset don’t win you leagues. Maybe 15 years ago, but now it is all about a midfielder who can control the tempo and distribute.
By Xpike Go To Posthe needs to be able to prove his wealth is legitimate to get an UK VisaApparently it's only $2 million he needs to prove is legitimate for that specific visa. What a system

i think he could be that if he wanted to but he clearly doesnt.
On De Ligt being monitored "Only serious rival interest in the youngster, or an injury to a current City centre-back, could force the club to step up their interest"
I guarantee 2 of our centre backs get injured during the WC.

By Arnie Go To PostKlopp won two league titles with Dortmund, reached a Champions League final, and took a team being banged 6-1 by Stoke to a Champions League final in three years.
We are also unbeaten at home in the league this season, you madman.
How many league titles and Champions League finals did Emery achieve with Sevilla? Remind me.
Madman position for you to take on the whole thing. Particularly on the weekend where we can appreciate just how good Klopp has been for Liverpool.
He has had some goo results with Liverpool, but at the end of the day, you can win a CL without winning a game in 90 minutes. I am not gonna bow down to Klopp because he might win a CL. Over the course of the three seasons he has been at Liverpool, I personally don't see huge improvements. Still a far too inconsistent team with defensive problems. This is a team that let in 6 goals against Roma in the semis. That is shocking, the only good thing for Liverpool is Roma let in 7 lol.
The guy is a good manager, I just don't believe he is as good as others think.

You’d be one of the only people in existence to think that, and bias aside the data absolutely confirms that your view of him is nonsense.

And we are 90 minutes away from winning the biggest competition in football.

By batong Go To PostShanks, getting the fourth place trophy is the biggest improvement you can measure. Please respect his glory hunting with the bianconeri, m9.
I wouldn't mind Rabiot at Liverpool. Although I do wonder how well he would do in England considering you know Ligue 1. Also why do the people at Arsenal FanTV think he will be joining Arsenal? I'm quite sure he he didn't really get on with Unai.

If the CL is just a tournament that anyone can win, then presumably you would also discount all of Emery's Europa leagues and domestic cups? Meaning his last 5 seasons have seen him consistently miss out on automatic CL qualification despite having the best DoF in the world, and finishing 2nd in a one team league.

I just look at it as someone from the outside.

I am not going to discount those trophies because consistency is the name of the game. Just like with Zidane. Everyone thought he just won the CL that first year because anyone could do it, but we are 90 minutes away from him doing it a third time in a row. Clearly Zidane is something special.
And what inregards to the bolded part?
By Shanks D Zoro Go To PostIf you are happy with the job that Klopp is doing, then fair enough.Your view of it is not as an impartial non-LFC fan perspective, it’s as someone who actively doesn’t like Klopp.

If you canvassed those here or elsewhere who are also on the outside your opinion would still be vastly in the minority. Both on Klopp’s impact at Liverpool and how he compares to Emery.

By rvy Go To PostLOL, he's a decent human bean. He didn't even kick up a fuss when he really was a level above our team. He scored 30 in a year for us, which is unusual even for this shit league.

what the fuck did we buy
We are replacing him with fucking Iturbo m8, pls have some respect. And people say karma doesn't exist... :(
Arsenal have the absolute worst defense in the top 6, and don't have the mentality to win important (or any, apparently) away games.
The only certainties for next season are City 1st, Arsenal 6th or lower.

By batong Go To PostSo we're measuring against one game again. gotcha.
Hard to keep track, Shanks.
No, but managing the likes of Valencia and Seville compared to that of a club of Dortmund’s status is laughable.
I do agree that in Emery’s very first season at a top club he disappointed, but he corrected it.

Last I checked at the time, Klopp was playing with a bunch of Rodgers flops and Emery had a much stronger squad. I doubt you'll use rational thinking as to why we lost that final because you know, Klopp hate and all.

No, but you are using general opinion to compare two managers. If we are just gonna make things up, might as well do it in games that matter.
I don't get it, why is this board so down on Emery? He's a great manager. Finishing behind the likes of Atletico, Barca, Madrid, Valencia and or Villareal to focus on a European title isn't unheard of - hell that's exactly what we were forced to do this year.
Some of the expectations here are creazy, Sevilla were never going to finish above the 3/4 power houses in La Liga, especially when those clubs were on some crazy runs.

By Shanks D Zoro Go To PostNo, but managing the likes of Valencia and Seville compared to that of a club of Dortmund’s status is laughable.Did he actually correct it? He did effectively what was table stakes for PSG, having spent more in a single summer than any other manager has, making the two most expensive signings in football.
I do agree that in Emery’s very first season at a top club he disappointed, but he corrected it.
I don't think it has any real bearing on how he does with Arsenal, because Arsenal aren't PSG. I think he'll need to overturn some number of players at Arsenal, either through signings or youth, though. I don't think he'll be able to implement a large enough change in mentality, I can't remember the ast time that was done without changing a fair number of players.
