By Laboured Go To PostI just feel like you're not really bringing the quality of your players into this equation. Emery is fine for the most part. However, a lot of your players don't make the grade, and the assumption seems to be that Emery will breathe life into them and they'll become top players. But the fact is they are nearly all stagnated as fuck and many were never good enough in the first place. You've got a few of genuine quality that I'd build a team around (Auba, Ozil and if I'm being kind, Mkhi) and the rest fall into the categories of past it, not good enough or so stagnant that he needs to leave the club.
I don’t think that many of these players need to have a breathe of life injected into them. I think the main problem is the tactical ability on the pitch. This team looks clueless 90% of the time without the ball and that for me is due to Wenger’s failures.
However, I do feel a lot of these players will show huge growth, or at least return to the level they showed prior to coming to us. Players like Bellerin and Iwobi have shown little to no growth since making the first team, and surprise surprise I blame Wenger and his training.
A player like Mustafi, who I admit I didn’t know too well before he came but by most reports would be a dependable starter, has shown signs of getting worse month by month. Again, all this points to Wenger.
You just can’t have signing after signing show a decline in performance, and youth players showing no progress without it being a sign that something is rotten at the training and tactical level.

I never said Emery was a bum or anything near it. I think he’s a fine manager. But Arsenal have a mediocre squad that Wenger has done well to keep competitive for as long as he did. Based on Emery’s record I don’t see how he’s an improvement.

What does that show? He improved them from back to back 9th places to 5th while winning the EL.
You going to ignore his work at Valencia? Of finishing top four? That final season was a bit of a right of with the club focusing on winning a third if I remember.

Again, his record is fantastic.
By saying he is a worse then wenger you are calling him a bum. Wenger is the recent the squad is mediocre. How can players continue to show no development and regress and not blame the manager?

If Wenger had won the Europa League 3 times, arsenal fans would hold it against him tbh
Trophies won at PSG are meaningless. The only thing that matters from that stint is the league title he didn't win.

Ah, standard Juve operating procedure (SJOP). Offer a new contract before they leave so the player can reject it and Marotta can talk about how they no longer wanted to be at the club.
By Lego Go To PostWin 0 away games over an entire season with Sevilla; Arsenal fans "he'll improve our away form"
It was clear in a lot games during that season that Emery only cared about winning the third EL and rested key players around those games.
That is my big concern with him, if he will pull something similar if Arsenal are in that situation.
MEN say we think SMS is too expensive and would cost over £100 million. As I said before, I can only see us going for him if we sold Pogba.

I wasnt counting the trophies he won at PSG too but still those trophies still count and winning them does establish himself as having the 'winning mentality' or whatever.
Di Marzio says Fred is done. £44 million.
Guess Mandzu could be the Rom back up?
Weirdly also suggest we are looking at Arnautovic.
Darmian to Juve almost done.

The chairman knows he can sell Alderweireld later in the window. It’s not going to be a case of getting him off of the books before we can buy.

No but Carrick and Fellaini are.

Especially now, with the lad Spinazzola out for at least 6 months.
Though, yes, if one of our top players were to be sacrificed, it would and should be Alex Sandro Del Piero.

By sohois Go To PostI've explained this before, but Arsenals home/away record is just random noise and you can't expect to just win a few away games and suddenly improve.
Stats wise, Arsenal are not bad by any means, only a short way off fourth in an expG table and ranked as 4th best by 538s model. Their EuroClubIndex ranking isn't bad either.
However, it's hard to see them doing enough next season when the teams around them will spend so much more.
You keep talking about our away form but last season is the only season in recent memory where we performed so badly away all season. Expand your dataset to beyond last season and I'm sure it's not so far fetched us making fourth. We will spend more than Tottenham probably in my opinion and if you switch poch with wenger I'd think you'd see very different results.
