By Zabojnik Go To PostI don't think Perin understands what his position at Juve will be, if he joins. Just heard him talking about how he'd love to join and is "ready to compete with Chesni for the role." My dude, Woy didn't accept to be Buffon's second for an entire season just so he could compete with you.
If he signs, he'll get to play in Coppa Italia and maybe a couple of Serie A matches. That's it. I hope they make it clear to him in whatever meetings there'll be. If he still wants to join after that, fine with me. Good keeper, but as I've long suspected, perhaps not the brightest flower out there.
I think Perin is a better keeper. No way Perin, who is gonna fight Donna for no1, is going to accept second choice status.
And if he does then he is an idiot.
I mentioned Emery last week.
Very excited. Good experience and will bring a winning mentality.
He might not be in that top tier of elite managers, but I think he is just as good as anyone in the PL not named Pep or Antonio.
Should be able to get us playing good football again and competing for second.

By Shanks D Zoro Go To PostI think Perin is a better keeper. No way Perin, who is gonna fight Donna for no1, is going to accept second choice status.Well, I think you're wrong about Perin being the better keeper. He's very talented and has improved on some of his shortcomings over the past couple of seasons, but he's nowhere near as commanding, for lack of a better word, assuring and complete as Szczesny has been since circa 2016. I think you're forgetting how great the latter was for Roma, losing the KOTY award only to Buffon. I'll be the first to admit that it's hard to judge a keeper's real value when he's playing for a team that more often than not fields a Swiss cheese defense. But if you ask me if I'd rather have Chesni or Perin guiding our back line ... it's not even a question worth entertaining. Roma's trainers have done a number on Woy, as they did with Alison.
And if he does then he is an idiot.
Whatever Perin's hopes and dreams, Juve, especially Allegri, simply aren't going to allow inside competition where keepers are concerned. We chose Chesni (on Buffon's recommendation, no less), we're sticking with him. He's been absolutely brilliant in all appearances (sans perhaps one) so far.
Speaking of all things Juve, I don't understand why we went back to the goddamn sticker Jeep logo on our 2018/2019 shirts. We FINALLY got rid of it this season, to the cheering and satisfaction of every Juve fan out there ... and now it's back. I'm sure it's cheaper / more profitable this way, but with shirt prices skyrocketing this shit simply isn't tolerable anymore. After seeing it live the design is slowly growing on me, but that fucking sticker man. People are up in arms about it, petitions sprouting left and right, but I doubt it'll change anything. Time to vote with (no) money, I guess.

I still think Wojo's leadership and command from crosses is poor. Perini is also the better shot stopper IMO.
I have never liked Wojo, so I am a bit bias lol.
Agreed with the fucking sticker. Looks awful.
By Arnie Go To PostMy point is not that Jardim isn’t a good manager. My point is that him being many people’s first choice with coaches like Conte and even Emery openly available implies something slightly cultish happening.Like N8 already said, he works in the confines of Arsenal. He works well with young talent and a tight budget, can play great attacking football and was able to win a league title and go on into the semi's of the CL. This current Arsenal sqaud has a good attacking force and he would improve many of the young players that we'll have to rely on.
Nobody mentioned those other managers but jump on Jardim whenever there’s a vacancy. It’s not clear why.
We missed out on Tuchel, Klopp, Simeone and instead settled on Emery.
Wenger wasn't the only one who has to go.

What you gonna be doing there?
By Bold 2 in One Go To PostImagine having Pogba, Lukaku, Miki, Martial, Mata, Rashford and Sanchez but focusing your gameplan around defensive ability of Jones, Smalling, Young and ValenciaIt's obviously a massive intangible, but aside from greenlighting transfers, tactics, systems, the bread and butter of a manager, Arsenal's next manager needs to reinvigorate the club.
Very quickly get the fans believing that they're going somewhere, even if progress isn't as rapid as they'd hope. Even when Klopps win percentage was the same as that of Rodgers, or we had that dismal run last January or completely outplayed against Sevilla leaving yet more questions about his ability to get the team over the line in cup competitions, there was never any real doubt amongst Liverpool fans that he's the right manager for us.
People who think it doesn't matter if the next arsenal manager fails because they'd likely still be sixth are complete mugs. One year out of the CL very quickly becomes two, and next thing you know you've had one CL campaign in 8 years.
If they want to avoid that, they need to get such huge decisions spot on, especially since they can't financially brute force their progress
By Shanks D Zoro Go To PostWhat you gonna be doing there?
Have a cousin that moved there with his wife last year for work so going to see him and OG football gaffer Godhand (Barca fan, whom i've known for a few years).

And has he shown an ability to rebuild his team effectively? Because this season they’ve been way off, despite having a ton of money to spend.
Winning the league is all well and good but his achievements feel a bit like lightning in a bottle. Even someone like Nagalsmann who did so well to achieve top four has managed to go on and do it again with so many of his best players removed.
I’m not saying Jardim isn’t decent. It’s just a huge jump and incredibly simplistic to say “built a winning team with less resources, should be arsenal manager.”

England remains the only football team on the entire planet that thinks who you make captain actually matters. Absolutely fitting for us as both a football team and a country.

They came second with 80 points despite losing four or five key players. They spent 110m euros on 11 players (and I’d be surprised if Jardim got much of a say in the sales or purchases) and made 180m (and that’s not even factoring in Mbappe’s fee.
Really poor CL showing aside, I think you’re being a little reductive especially when promoting Nagelsmann above him. Jardim has performed well in the Portuguese and Greek leagues before Monaco, and has probably dealt with just as much turnover in one season than Nagelsmann has. Obviously the bundesliga is stronger than Ligue Un, but Lyon and Marseille have been no fools this season; the latter made the EL final.
He’s clearly a very talented coach who is getting a lot out of his players. I think he would have been a great get for Arsenal.

Rui Patrício has been seen boarding a flight to Frankfurt and is expected to be back in Portugal tomorrow.
The national team is gathering today so for him to miss the first day could well be due to his transfer.

It's not. It's going to be nothing. A whole lot of nothing. People shitting themselves to death over fuck all. There's no sufficiently funded regulator who's going to be able to wield the compliance hammer so everyone should probably just chill and get on with their lives.
