By Cleff Go To PostThanks, Zabo
If we didn't have Pogba I'd say get him right now. We need a Carrick type more than another box to box though. A non pussy footballer would be appreciated.
But Pogba isn’t a box to box midfielder. He works best next to one, like Vidal.

Or rather, that was the plan. Not sure where he's supposed to be playing now. Been tried in a few different roles.
By Cleff Go To PostPlays box to box for us though.
But that is more on Mou playing him out of position. Maybe having a guy like SMS will allow Mou to give Pogba more freedom to play in the role he is suited to.
i completely missed the drama of the German cup. Well good for kovac, that's one way to show his qualifications for Bayern.

By Shanks D Zoro Go To PostReina being linked to tje camorra lolI reckon every Napoli player had contact with a camorrista at one point or another. It's almost unavoidable. Cultivating such relationaships probably isn't the best idea though. Nothing will come off it anyway. It's just Pecoraro the Incompetent flexing his muscles, now that Reina is on his way out and can't hurt Napoli anymore.
By n8 dogg Go To PostJorginho-Pogba-SMS midfield would be sensationalI don’t think PSG will win anything with that midfield.

Everything is breaking.
Weird choice. Guess Arteta might join him with the language barrier and everything.

By Laboured Go To PostThat is such an embarrassing tweet from a BBC journalist.
Media have been briefed during the whole process and it’s very clear that he only became the front-runner following Arteta pulling out over his coaching staff and control.
The Times backpage was that Arsenal we’re ready to announce him. You don’t get that without it being imminent.

But it would still leave us without a player.that can actually recycle possession quickly and effectively. I'm also not convinced Pogba will actually be a United player at the start of next season.

"Thorough process" is so incredibly brief-y.
I feel a little bad for Arteta but I'm happy he'll presumably be staying with the club. Maybe he could take over as the coach of NYCFC if Vieira goes to Nice though.
Emery... ☠️
I’d take him over Arteta, though.
Jardim was the chosen one. Incredible he was glanced over.

Emery is a good choice. Way fucking better than Arteta who I was ready to accept as my Lord and Savior.
Emery is a better choice than Arteta, but I still think Jardim is the best choice. Attacking, good with youth, can work with a budget, has form for topping better clubs...

Remember you wanted him a couple of years back but I'm not sure whether his stock is higher or lower now than then.

Not an inspiring choice, but hopefully he can win the EL because I cant see us cracking top four.

Lower but people knocked him for his CL performance and spending. Should be a solid transition manager even if he doesn't work out though, although I don't really even know what the standard is for Arsenal anymore.
The Jardim cult love is so weird.
Emery is about as uninspiring as it gets. Love that briefing too. Superb football comms. Will probably move into a role doing that one day.
“Liverpool have second thoughts over appointing Andrew Robertson as head coach following thorough process. Jamie Carragher set to be offered the job within the next 48 hours, following an impressive spell at Derby.”

Why is Jardim love weird? Has a track record in a way that should appeal to a lot of what arsenal want.

Emery will be a safe pair of hands in a time of transition. It may not be that exciting but it's unlikely to be a disaster either.

By Laboured Go To PostEmery will be a safe pair of hands in a time of transition. It may not be that exciting but it's unlikely to be a disaster either. It feels a bit pointless to me. Arsenal won't challenge for the title under Arteta or Emery. I know Chelsea had the season a few years ago where it went absolutely tits up, but realistically I can't see Arsenal doing worse than 7th or 8th with either of them in charge. The gulf between the top clubs and the lower half is so substantial that it'd be a major shock if one of them fell beyond that threshold again so soon. Why not try and hit a homerun with a young guy like Arteta? Worst case it doesn't work out and you move on and then try something more boring/practical after that, but to me the benefits far outweigh the negatives. Emery feels like a waste of everyone's time. Definitely a transition as you said.

Arteta is way riskier, and I think their board is fine with top 4 finishes for the foreseeable future.

Aspas instead of Morata. Incredible.
By Courage Go To Postit's not like Emery is a washed old man, he's 46 years old and won the Europa League three times. Arteta is way riskier, and I think their board is fine with top 4 finishes in the foreseeable future.I don't see much of a chance that Arsenal get back into the top 4 any time soon. You look at the competition for those places and it is very, very fierce and right now they're just not really in it. If they were willing to spend £200m this summer, they might challenge for it. But they're supposedly going to spend £50m and frankly that just isn't going to do it. If you look at the teams above them, they're some ways off in quality. But they've got enough to not dip below the Europa places regardless of their coach.
Aubameyang for a full season might make a major difference next year, but not enough to get into the top 4. They will be in the Europa places at best for the foreseeable future.
