The players are now (rightfully) refusing to play the Cup final on Sunday and are seeking termination from their contract.
This is mostly due to our president's attitude that the players are mercenaries and they haven't done better because they don't want to.
It's a mess and our senior football team could well be beyond repair.
By Pennywise Go To PostIt's pretty mixed. It would grind my gear to god knows what bounds if I was German and I see this shit happening. Here you are given all the rights and freedom to start a new life, being treated as an equal but yet he goes off and calls Erdogan his president in a clear show of support and respect. The very same Erdogan who has openly criticised Germany on so many occasions, going as far as bringing up the Nazi past and so on.
You surely got more than enough right wing cunts blowing it out of proportion, saying that integration basically failed.
You got people that don't give a fuck, considering footy players and teams are constantly doing advertisements for countries that kick human rights on a constant basis.
And you got more reasonable people, who see that it was a pretty stupid move to give that Erdogan and his shit party a bigger stage. Especially when someone like Can just simply didn't appear and Gündogan is usually one of the more reflected personalities.
However, banning them from the team would be another stupid move, as you would basically agree with all those right wing assholes.
In the end it was a more than stupid from both of them and it's a serious punch towards all the effort the DFB does to integrate people.
Even though you got 2 heritages, you just shouldn't be an instrument for a lunatic like Erdogan.
I'm pretty suprised that their managment didn't tell them something.
About your last point of foreign Erdogan supporters.
It's sometimes sadly just the bitter reality. I see more than enough educated people that know exactly what kind of a cunt he is, but you also got more than enough people would vote for him without any remorse.
You still got alot of people that came here from a more rural area within Turkey, they hardly interact with anyone else except for turkish people and those are people that still got a rather old fashioned world view that affects their own judgement and they certainly pass those values onto their kids.
It's a shame, but it's also an area where the state partially failed and has alot of work to do.
I just can't deal with Erdogan supporters.

The very same Erdogan who has openly criticised Germany on so many occasions, going as far as bringing up the Nazi past and so on.I can see your point and agree to some degree. However Germany made a lot of mistakes that still influence second or third generation turks here, like I mentioned above. So it's a rather complex topic that you can't break down so easy. Well whatever, they made a mistake and I hope they actually reflect their actions and the FA is having some talks with them. But that's about it now, no need to blow it out of proportion. It happened, but there are other things that deserve that attention.

By FootbalIFan Go To PostRui patricio to Napoli seems much more likely nowYep. ADL relishes being a miserly bastard.
I still want to know whom the 20+-goal striker is we supposedly signed. Always sounded like typical rubbish from him. If it isn't an outright lie, it's certainly the least expensive and desirable such person on the market.
By FootbalIFan Go To PostPenny mnPetersen is rather surprising, but he's a great sub option. The rest is pretty much expected. Some expected Gőtze to be part of the squad or some other players, but whatever. Only laughable thing is taking Neuer with him, who hardly trained and didn't play a game for quite some time. Should have just trusted Ter Stegen.

Will be a shame if he isn't rewarded with WC minutes.
Götze, what a human, wonder how he feels.
By FootbalIFan Go To PostImmobile is returning homeNah. It would've been a media spectacle. Immobile would be actively selling himself to us. Lazio would be balking at ADL's antics. And in the end we'd never agree over image rights.
Probably for the best, because Sarri would probably just sit him on the bench anyways.

Maybe it was just a secret way of saying milik is back in form and he is like a new signing #AlmondMilik

And this summer, following the (re)arrival of our 20+-goal striker, Mertens will be sold for his hilariously low buyout, and we can replace him with a nobody who'll never play - until Milik suffers another catastrophic knee injury.

By Dan Go To PostThe correct decision. Unequivocally. Pellers got screwed, so I'm glad Pep didn't suffer the same fate.

Arteta has emerged as the overwhelming favourite to succeed Wenger in the past few days and Arsenal have now interviewed all of the main candidates.
Max Allegri seemingly ruled himself out at the weekend by revealing he plans to stay at Juventus, which made Julian Nagelsmann the most serious rival to Arteta.
But Hoffenheim have insisted Nagelsmann is going nowhere and another man admired by the Gunners, Joachim Low, has signed a new contract to remain in charge of Germany.
Along with Arteta, Patrick Vieira has been spoken to about the Arsenal post, but the Frenchman has since been left in limbo as he has not received any feedback.
Curious who Pep will bring in to replace Arteta on the staff. We have quite a few assistants already so it isn't necessary per se, but it seems like he enjoys having a lot of other guys in the room. Whoever mentioned Xabi Alonso a few pages ago could be onto something especially given his overlap with Pep at Bayern (typo originally). Xavi would be a good choice as well but I think he's probably enjoying that Qatar money too much to give it up.

By inky Go To PostHow will Milik play without any knees tho? He's played 282 minutes since returning from his latest injury and scored 3 goals. Could be better, but could certainly be worse.
Obviously, Android Milik is the future of football.

It’s just proper chillout music. I think it would be trash live but loving walking and listening to it. Its lyrics aren’t that different from older AM stuff, its just the sound that’s different. And even then its pleasant music with a few real funky beats (golden trunks and american sports are great especially)
I dunno. I find it a lot harder to write about music than i do film or football; i don’t understand it enough and its fairly intangible. But i know i like it enough to have listened to it all 3/4 times now.
