Quill got done hard in that film. They made him look a fool with the whole Thor meeting, and it just went down hill after that.
I was screaming the whole time when Gamora was talking about Thanos not having anyone he loved.
I expected deaths, but seeing Loki, Heimdall, and Gamora get taking out early was early.
Just image how strong adult Spidey is going to be. Thanos was most definitely bothered by those hits and Pete is still a teen

My 5-year old had a quiet ride home. My 9-year old had a soccer game, so he missed the savagery. But Jason, when I got him home, he went back to his room for a bit. I came back there and he was legit just sitting there on his bed holding his Black Panther suit.
Then the little dude tells me that Thor will find a way to get the gauntlet and reverse the deaths and ran out and jumped on the trampoline while doing karate moves.

I think a kid’s reaction to this movie says a lot more about the parents than it does the kids. By 7 (technically earlier) kids should be able to tell the difference between fantasy and real life. There are people at the other place that are raising the worst kid of sheltered children. This is why small pets are good for young children. Gets them to understand death and how life works.
My kid was devastated when all but two of his puppies died last year but the next time his other dog had pups? He was prepared for it and handled the death of the few that didn’t make it really well.

I guess i'm more disappointed that we won't get a lot of character interaction in the next one until the end. Also, no mention of Tony Stark in this one? He seemed like more of an MVP than Thor, although I did enjoy his friendship with Rocket and Groot, Drax was also a scene stealer with his laughs like always. That GOTG crew is just fun especially compared to the other stuck up heroes.
Favorite scene has to be Cap showing up, what a guy. Vision was a chump in this one.. they did him wrong dude was a beast and he did fuck all, Wanda was also very powerful.

Like at least with most of these movies when they pretend to kill off Nick Fury or whatever they at least bring them back in the same movie and don't make you wait a year and spend another $10+ to find out how they magic them back to life. There was tons of cool shit that happened along the way though so I'm not that mad at it.

Everyone in these theatres know Peter Parker is coming back and STILL fuckin bawled they eyes out. It's not meaningless just bc we know they will exist in the next movie, it's part of the journey to finish out all of this.

Thought it was the best Marvel ensemble but rolled my eyes at the end deaths, knowing the upcoming sequels. But I'm not bothered because at the end of the day they're movies for children, meant to be as bland as possible (just thinking of the combo of PG13, comic book franchise, the Culture Industry).
