The Indians gave up 7 runs in the 9th to the Astros.
Serves them right for talking shit about the Astros. They're "not anything special". Lol aight. Take this pipe.

Let Brett Gardner hit two homers in a game.
Yankees win in 10 despite 5 errors.
It's a league game, Smokey.

So the Ms in first place somehow with the King sucking, Cano gone for the year and Cruz hitting like 225
Meanwhile, if your city is in a drought, invite the Yankees to town. It will rain buckets.
2 out of 4 games against Baltimore this weekend were rained out. The Yankees have now completed* 6 fewer games than the Red Sox. (*1 game against Washington was in progress when it was suspended, and the subsequent game was also rained out.) The Yankees have the odd distinction of having the best record in baseball and simultaneously being a game back.
Speaking of the Yanks and the Sox, a bone to pick with you, Smokey. Your boys lost the last 2 to Boston this weekend.

Day/night double-header between the Yankees and Tigers has started well. This is making up 2 games lost earlier in the year (was an off day for both teams).
Bullpens.
Toronto's starter went 6 scoreless, then gave up a single to start the seventh. Toronto immediately brought in a relief pitcher, who promptly hit Gregorius, walked Hicks to load them up, then saw Miguel Andujar hit his first career grand slam on the first pitch he saw.

Bullpens part 2.
With 2 outs in the 8th and with Stanton on 3rd, Toronto brings in a southpaw to face Gregorius. He draws a walk, then Hicks comes in and hits a 3 run blast.
I feel like Toronto's manager is making all the right moves.

Tanaka out here tagging up and scoring a run. Not the fastest runner.
Edit: just said on the TV broadcast that it's the first time he's ever crossed home plate.

Oh good lord. Tanaka apparently hurt himself on the jog home. Not coming out to pitch the bottom half of the sixth.
The above proved to be the game winner. All runs in this series so far, except for 1, have been on homers. The 1? The one yesterday scored by Tanaka, who hurt himself and has now landed on the DL.
Never let a pitcher run.
German gave up 3 in the first and I thought this might be the night the Mets' bats come alive. If not against him, then who? Fortunately (depending on your perspective), he actually settled in and gave 5 strong innings after that rough first one.

Yankees might not win this, but the Mets just turned a sure double play into 2 errors, nobody out.
Foot off the bag at second, wild throw to first.
(2-0 Mets, top 8)

Yankees legend Todd Frazier was the difference against his old team tonight. 2 run homer to provide the only scoring, just ended the game with a double play.
I have stayed away mostly because I can't watch games every day like I usually do, but hopefully I get my PC back this week and I can actually watch a game. Mets injuries have been devastating to the team, most of the year they have had at least 6-7 guys on the DL. Harvey got dealt for having an huge ego, Cespedes has been out almost a month, and DeGrom and Syndergaard have missed considerable time. The bullpen had 4 guys on the DL and the Mets had to call up 4 Triple-A pitchers at one point....
Mets were 11-1, and have gone 17-33 since...

Have no clue who matt fucking muncy is but man ... him and the revitalized corpse of Matt Kemp are keeping us alive. 2 over 500 now and in second. Just need AZ to lose some more games here while we keep the pace ...
Might not be a total loss to the season after all. When Seagar went down and Kersh got reinjured I almost tossed in the towel.
