Ingram the real rookie of the year
Lol through zubats legs
By giririsss Go To PostThe actual more surprising thing is that he's really lifted his 3pt % the last two years. Good for him. Really makes him valuable.Houston players with his 3P% or better: Anderson, Tucker, Paul, Ariza, Harden
Guess the minutes will be split between ariz & tucker now, and maybe gerald green. Though… Green is dangerous.
Houston players with his length: Ariza
His value to this team is his D. Ariza and Tucker start together. There's going to be a dropoff with either Green and Johnson guarding the perimeter over Mbah a Moute.

Mbah a Moute Injured: 25th (109.6)
Since: 3rd (102.7)

Kardashians and NBA players aren't a good mix. That's the only reason Ingles doesn't have two of them.

How bad are the Knicks when Knicks fans don't even dream big.
KD to MSG. Speak it into existence.

By Dark PhaZe Go To PostKD ready to get that max deal I seeThe Warriors are about to run a repeater tax that looks like a Caribbean country’s trade deficit. I don’t know if they can be doing that.
if they keep winning they can. even if they lose money it will raise the value of the franchise. doesn't Cleveland spend a shit ton of money and they aren't even that good.
i don't really know how the financial stuff works but how the fuck does miami have more money on the books next year than GSW and CLE have this year?
https://www.basketball-reference.com/contracts/
ah i see, they still have to pay Bosh for another year.

By Mariosalic Go To Postif they keep winning they can. even if they lose money it will raise the value of the franchise. doesn't Cleveland spend a shit ton of money and they aren't even that good.Lots of fans say stuff like this but if the choice is between paying all those guys and losing $100 million+ in taxes, or letting some of the core walk and just staying good and pocketing all that money, it’s no choice at all.
Not that I think KD’s the one you let go, just that the timing seems all wrong for him to push them for a max.

By Randolph Freelander Go To PostAlways got to be about Utah, doesn't it.Yes. And it should be, because we broke up the most annoying team in history, the CP3/Griffin Clippers. We should be praised for years to come for doing that.

I'm unconvinced. See what you can do about Houston.

In the modern NBA, one aware of load management and emphasizing player rest, not every team has shootarounds, and most teams don’t hold one for every game. Instead, they’ve boiled it down to its essence: showing film to players on their opponent and walking through some important concepts on the court. Depending on the day, they might get in shooting and some other quick court work, but that’s really not the point of the shootaround anymore.
In this new feature, I aim to bring you inside one of those game-morning film sessions. Shootaround takes a game and assigns each team to a contributing former coach to prepare for as if they were coaching that game. These coaches then develop a game plan as they would if they were working for the team: they watch the opponent’s recent games and any other relevant film, look at stats, and come up with their recommendations. We then put it together into a package that is very similar to the format that is delivered to NBA players on game day. (Except instead of being delivered verbally and in-person, it’s text.)

A lot of noise in these numbers and probably overestimate Jrue's impact, but it is a big impact he makes on defense:
How good has Jrue been at the point of attack? When Jrue sits, Pels opponents attack the rim on 38.1% of their possessions, 2nd worst in the league. When Jrue plays, opponents only attack the rim on 32.7% of their possessions. The 5.4% difference puts him in the 96th percentile. For reference, Rudy Gobert is in the 97th percentile, as Jazz opponents attack the rim a full 6% less with him on the court. Who says guard defense isn't important?
Holiday is having the effect of an elite rim protector in deterring drives to the rim.
I'm surprised Wendell's mother is on the side of staying in school. An interview with her from the NCAA tournament had her on the 1-and-done train (and, if she had her way, it would have been straight out of high school).
Wendell is a beast. He should get paid.

When Mark Jackson realizes that people like Porzingis more than him, he'll find a way to poison the locker room.

Don't think they can beat the Warriors without him.
Let's see if Curry can run and move side to side in the playoffs first.

AFTER PAUL EXITED for Houston, Clippers owner Steve Ballmer reached out to his former point guard. As a relatively new owner, Ballmer wanted to learn from his organization's mistakes and invited Paul to share his thoughts about the current state of the franchise and, more pointedly, his reasons for leaving. When the two met over breakfast, league sources say, Paul stated that Rivers was one of the contributing factors.Doc sucks, I knew it
More than half a dozen players from the 2013-14 to 2016-17 Clippers declined to speak on the record about Rivers' role in the "dynamic," but a reliable consensus emerged. To a man, they saw a coach who grew frustrated with his inability to manage a complex locker room and who began to act out himself.
