But it's a complication from a second surgery on the same knee he broke and had two screws in. It's very easy to re-injure/continue to have complications on that.
By giririsss Go To PostI mean, kyries injury this time is a infection from the surgery. Otherwise he'd be back.Sometimes you have to look at a man's entire body of work. When you're the kind of guy who gets injured by surgery, you've probably got that McGrady juice.
Eh.
Not saying he isn't injury prone. But this is the one we highlight?
Kyrie averages 63 games played per season (includes shortened lockout 2012 season). That's over 25% of games missed due to injury -- and that's saying something since his biggest injuries occurred late in the season so he's been rehabbing in the off-season.
I'm sure this is asked many a year but is the year of the most (serious?) injuries and sitting the fuck out and surgeries? Cause damn feels like it.

If the East standings stay the way they are, the 1st round would be pretty good. I hope it stays like that.
Cleveland / Miami - Lebron vs. Wade
Boston / Washington - Wizards get to avenge last year's loss
Toronto / Milwaukee - Rematch of a good series

Really? That's a trash ass first round if I've ever seen one.
What matchups would you want to see in the 1st round with these teams?

Ugh. Not again.

Like anyone wants to watch the Thunder, Blazers or Denver in the playoffs.
Blazers are barely a 50 win team. Lost to Memphis and Dallas. Booty juice.
They're lucky to play in the soft west. No wonder Lillard barely gets injured.

Aren't you the one predicting your #1 seeded Toronto Raptors are going to lose in the first round or nah
Only thing that got destroyed is the Leastern conference since Jordan retired: 13-6 Finals record for the West since then. And that includes a GOAT-level Lebron James appearing in 8 Finals.
Is Reilo talking to himself?
By Red Blaster Go To Postlol no evidence that the blazers are any better than the sixers, let alone the raptorsI know right, I think he really bieleves that too
By Random Ass Username Go To Post??????Out side the warriros, who are on a 4 year nba finals run where bodies are just going to break down. It doesn't feel like many serious star injuries. With hayward being the obvious exception.
Kyrie IS injury prone. Him missing time isn't abnormal. Booker has missed games, but his work load is pretty intense. Fultz missed games, but who knows for what reason.
We've had years where guys are blowing out ACL's left and right altering career trajectories. Not just missing games.
PS: Only the Pacers have won over 40 games in those two images and that's a game the Sixers lost.
EDIT: To be even more specific: the only two teams with more than 35-wins in those two images are the Pistons and Pacers. That's it.

By reilo Go To PostEDIT: Let's take a look at some of the teams the Sixers have beat during this streak:They did lose Embiid for the last few. But the 76'ers are SUPER young.
I see.
Blazers might / might not be as good. But neither is clearly better. 76'ers are like the number one defense since Christmas or some shit. and the 9th best offense since then too.
By Jeff-DSA Go To PostYeah, the Sixers win streak is the most foolish of fool's gold possible.
Sure, but the overall record is good. "You are what your record says you are." Everybody is playing those teams, Philly just happened to get them all in a row. Philly is good, in an east-adjusted sort of way.
yeah philly started with the hardest schedule in the entire league and now gets softballs at the end.

At the end of the day, Kyrie was apart of the day that beat the team with the most wins down 3-1, plus that shot was 🐐
I still make that trade every time
Fuck crowder, held Jaylen back
IT would’ve came back January / February and would’ve been trash
Jaylen x Tatum leveling up

Boogie, Kyrie, Lin, Wes Matthews, Gallinari, Bradley, Beverly, Blake, Conley, IT (though tbf he should've never came back), Butler, Porzingis, Roberson, Booker, Wall, Kawhi, D'Lo, Ingram, Ball... these are all players that have had injuries this year that either cost them their season or a giant chunk of it.
This season has seemed like the worst I can remember...
Shit, I forgot about Waiters, Reggie Jackson, Gobert, Love... even CP3 missed a lot of games this year.
I mean, Philly are going to win 50 teams, and of their top 3 players;
Embiid is in his second year. Has played 93 games TOTAL in the NBA. Going to average 22 & 10 while anchoring a top 3 defense in the NBA.
Simmons is a rookie that is posting a near tripple double every night. Has no range, yet. But still runs the offense.
Heck, i'm not sure who was their 3rd best this year. Covington, Saric or Reddick. I mean, Reddick is average 17 & 3 shooting over .400 from 3. Covington is covering multiple position defensively, while averagin 13, 5 & 2, shooting over .370 from 3. Then you have Saric as this alternative offense runner averaging 15, 7, 2.5 and shooting .400 from 3.
To win 50 games and have your 2 best players be a 2nd year and a Rook?

The rest are injury prone guys, role players, or injuries that aren't going to alter their career.

By joefu Go To PostNobody said anything about stars. There's been hella injuriesThere's a lot of injuries every year. This might have been the most total. The question was framed as "has this been the worst year for injuries"...
in terms of career impact and impact upon games (like, meaningful actual minutes that would alter games / play offs) not really. Not out side the normal Injury prone guys.
