Every game you watch of YNB, you get reminded that if Derrick Rose never got fucked by the medical staff he would have been better in every way.
YNB got that Javale McGee gene inside of him.

By reilo Go To PostHow did he even pass the concussion protocol? Wtf you doing Sixers med staff?
It can happen. Happened to me where I felt nothing in the first hour, and then hours later...shit was spinning and throbbing.

rose was never that good and only seemed that way cause those chicago teams were keyed entirely around his strengths and weaknesses
ynb is vastly better than he ever was
Hole up
I like Russ but we aren't going to start pretending that's not exactly what Presti has been doing as well (keyed around Russ's strengths) since Durant left now, are we? Because that Thunder team last year was a fucking sham.

By Omzz Go To PostThis sucks. That guy is amazing and the world is being robbed of his talent because the injury gods are dicks.
By livefromkyoto Go To PostIt's okay, we all know Draymond's good enough to lead them to victory solo.

Getting elbowed in the eye by a teammate and that leading to a facial fracture is not that unlucky in terms of body reaction.
Though it is a bit unlucky to get elbowed in the eye by a teammate.

How does the protocol apply then? What do they screen for to determine if someone has a concussion or not? I thought they made players perform certain tests and such?

This is Quinn Cook's world.

When I caught a concussion from a elbow I didn't even realize I had one until the next day where every light was bright as fuck with light headedness.

By friskykillface Go To Postsmh Fultz ruined the 76ers season by being a bust X taking out Embiid, LeBron is lucky afa 2 week injury ruined the 6ers?
The Charlotte Hornets quietly have a 0.0 differential. They might not be in a bad position for next year.
Meanwhile, Dallas (-2.6) is ahead of Sacto (-7.3) in the tanking race. How are the Kings fucking up at being bad?

Face injury means a mask after a few weeks, correct?
The "fuck playing Cleveland" tank is going to be looney tunes.
I think the final standings will be:
Toronto
Boston
Indiana
Cleveland
Philly
Miami
Washington
Milwaukee
An Indiana Miami series would be NBA Finals levels of try hard basketball--delicious

Mudiay finally perked up in his past two games, but holy hell has the Mudiay era with the New York Knicks been a tough watch.
Years of bonking shots around the rim have reduced Mudiay to a certain skittishness navigating the pick-and-roll. He has developed a bad habit of gaining an advantage, turning the corner, and giving the advantage right back:
http://www.espn.com/nba/story/_/id/22959445/zach-lowe-10-things-like-including-celtics-kyrie-irving-nba (Look at #4)
From the moment Mudiay traps Goran Dragic on his hip, the worst possible outcome other than Mudiay throwing the ball away is Mudiay sliding back for a midrange brick.
In Mudiay's defense, this sort of surrender isn't uncommon among young point guards. Kyrie Irving did it a lot in his first two seasons – perhaps out of arrogance rather than uncertainty – and D'Angelo Russell is struggling with it now. But Mudiay has to regain confidence in his finishing skills, and build out from there.
Mudiay has been mostly awful in the NBA – a tank commander of the highest rank. But there is an interesting player in here somewhere. He shot well on catch-and-shoot 3s last season. He's big and fast enough to get where he wants to go, and his vision is ahead of his judgment. He's shooting 68 percent at the rim as a Knick – blowing away his (ugly) career numbers. Everyone in Denver praises his resiliency. He just turned 22.
He is playing amid a makeshift, tanking team. Provide some stability, and he could grow into something.
