By diehard Go To Postthe EVGA G3 650w was like $50 recently, there must not be any PSU deals going on.Funny you mention that... a sale just happened on the G2 and G3 that were $95-100 on Amazon. Grabbing the EVGA 750w G2 right now.
Newegg does have the 850w Seasonic Focus Plus for $90 and a $20 MIR right now (Amazon has the same, but a $15 MIR). Even if you don't use the MIR, it's worth the $11 for the fully modular cables.

By Kabro Go To Postwhat's nano ips?Super quick summary:
LG says that it applies nanoparticles to the screen’s LED backlighting to absorb excess light wavelengths and improve intensity, purity as well as the accuracy of the on-screen colors. Controlling spectral output of backlighting is a method generally used to improve IPS LCD panels — quantum dots and Panasonic’s light modulating cells do just that.

It's not even how much it costs per se, it's just that it's so fucking overpriced for what it is. Still, I'll probably bite sooner or later.

Damnit, I thought every boxed Ryzen came with a Wrath cooler. Imagine my surprise when I opened the R5 2600 and saw that ... puny thing.
The wraith cooler wouldn't have been good enough for you, zabo. One came with my 2700x and it was quite noisy.

I won't be building until ryzen 2 so got time to decide. are there any upcoming releases I should be keeping an eye on?

Wait for the revision 4 of the case coming next year. It’ll have officially support for a 92x14mm fan under the GPU/motherboard, better support for an AIO and a few other nice QoL changes.
To answer your question though, yeah I’m pretty happy with it. Had to forgo CPU overclocking since I switched out the 545LC AIO for a standard low profile heatsink but the i5 9600K is doing superb at stock settings since I’m playing at 4K.
There’s a few downside to the case that I’ll edit in later when I get the time.
Edit: Downsides.
There’s no dust filters. It’s by design so as not to hinder temps but if you have a dusty room, shit will build up quickly. You can get some for it made by Demciflex but they look awful.
You need to be somewhat picky regarding GPUs. The ideal is a full 2 slot open air card with vertically alligned fins on the heatsink. That’ll pretty effectively blow air up/down and out the case. However you may find that even with that, the GPU will create a hotspot of air underneath it. The V4 will fix that issue, I’ve used a 40x10mm fan to fix it in my V2 case.
If you’re going for aircooling, there’s not a lot of sub-48mm tall coolers for AM4. Not the case’s fault but something to keep in mind. Another issue is the coolers available for the AM4 socket don’t have ideal mounting brackets/fin alignment. Ideally, like the GPU you want the fins to be vertical for the best airflow however the NH-L9a and Cryorig C7 can only be mounted horizontally.
The build quality gets a lot of praise, but I dislike the GPU screws to hold it in place. I’ve took mine out multiple times and the threads wore out fast. Might’ve changed with the V3/V4.
thanks for the writeup, didn't consider AM4 cooling solutions being an issue. I should be okay with an AIO? I feel like I'm gonna fuck something up badly with this build lol, but the end product just looks so cool. I like how the streacom da2 looks, probably prefer it, but my mind is blown every time I see pics of dan case a4 builds. can't resist.
are blower style cards safe? or do they vary their fin alignment? the 2080ti FE cards look tempting
will keep a lookout for v4, I didn't even realise there were differen't versions lol

AIO work fantastically well, however you’re limited one way or another with them. You can use a short GPU with a 120mm AIO and a 15mm thick 120mm fan.
You can use the Asetek OEM 545LC which is a 92mm AIO along with a Noctua 92x14 fan that’s surprisingly better than the 120mm AIO in some circumstances, but it’s an extremely tight fit.
The V4 revision is set to raise the PSU up slightly to give the 92mm AIO more space, and Asetek are updating the 545LC to be more DAN case friendly. Definitely worth waiting for both to come out in my opinion.
Blower cards work fine, but they’re blowers so they’re hotter and louder than open air cards on average. EVGA and Gigabyte both have ideal GPU coolers, and the new FE coolers are good too. The Asus Strix 1080 and EVGA FTW3 1080Ti are probably the best overall. Both tight fits but they look and run superbly inside from what I’ve seen.
I can help you part stuff out for a build in one if you need it, and they’re honestly really easy to build in providing your components actually fit.
Oh yeah, don’t neglect the other similar cases out there.
Kolink Rocket is a cheaper alternative, unofficially supports a 120mm AIO (requires DIY modding)
Louqe Ghost S1 is a shorter but wider case that accommodates taller CPU coolers. Looks nicer in my opinion.
Geeek A50 requires assembly and it’s made of acrylic but it’s the cheapest option, more similar to the Louqe case.
Raijintek Ophion/ Ophion Evo. Fairly big compared to the others, but reasonably priced and fits a 240mm AIO in the slightly more expensive Evo.
NCase M1. Not a sandwich style case, but it’s the OG for good looking ITX cases. More similar to the Streacom case. Incredible compatiblity for such a small case. By far the best cooling options.

I went with the Cryorig M9A. At 20€ it really can't be beat. The only thing that sucks is that I've no idea if I'll be getting the updated / AM4 compatible version or if I'll have to request the upgraded plate from Cryorig. At least it's free.

hello Coffee Lake!
https://www.pugetsystems.com/recommended/Recommended-Systems-for-Adobe-After-Effects-CC-144/Hardware-Recommendations
After Effects used to make great use of high core count systems (including dual Xeon) but starting with AE CC 2015 most tasks no longer benefits from having a high number of CPU cores. This is largely due to the fact that Adobe removed the "render multiple frames simultaneously" feature in part due to the fact that they are starting to integrate GPU acceleration. While it used to be that more cores = faster, since higher core count CPUs run at a lower speed a CPU with around 6-8 cores will be faster than a higher core count CPU or even a dual CPU setup.
To a certain extent, more cores should improve performance. However, Premiere Pro doesn't scale perfectly with higher core counts so extremely high core count systems such as dual Xeon workstations tend to do worse than a single CPU workstation due to their lower per-core performance.
In the past, Xeon CPUs were more robust than their Core series counterparts. Today, however, there is very little functional difference between the two Intel product families for workstations. In addition, Xeon CPUs are almost always clocked slightly lower than the Core i7/i9 CPUs which means that you will be giving up a small amount of performance to gain a set of features that are typically only useful for servers.
hello Coffee Lake!
Currently, the fastest CPU for After Effects is the Core i9 9900K 8 Core, followed closely by the Core i7 9700K 8 Core. These CPUs are excellent for everything in After Effects and will easily out-perform anything else you can currently buy.

I'll probably call on you help me out there xd where I'm at right now is deciding between the dan a4 and ghost s1, both are really nice but it seems the ghost s1 is more restrictive with aio? I don't want a top hat because it looks ridiculous, and it looks difficult to fit a small radiator under the psu like you do with the dan a4.
