It is marketed as home/work but Dell seem to have almost everything listed on their business site. Seems nice and fast on first impression as it has a new i7 processor and I have to say it was nice turning it on and not get inundated with tons of shovelware like Mcaffe etc.
I think you can buy most of their stuff on their business site as its still applicable for small businesses. Through Dell Premier (their actual business site) only the Latitude and Precision are available until recently when they got a lot of people asking for the XPS 13 and 15 so they made them available.
Can somebody on here just give me a nice clean right hook every time I go to spend more money on my PC? Thanks.
In excess of £2000 total at this point. Original build was about £1100. Changed RAM, changed motherboard, case, PSU, 144hz monitor on top. Got three different sets of fans knocking about now. Apart from CPU and HDD, I've got a second build of left over parts under my desk.
I need counselling.

Just need some room treatment, though my room seems like a difficult setup for it...

By Facism Go To PostWhat leftovers do you have , vapes m8 ?
B350 motherboard, 8Gb (2x4Gb) Corsair 3000mhz DDR4, 550w bronze PSU, Core V21 case. An older Asus 560Ti.
Only thing lacking is a CPU and HDD/SSD from a fully working system. Kinda tempted to pick up a R3 1200 or AM4 APU and HDD just to sell on as a full system.
By Facism Go To Postsounds like a good idea, give me a pm if you ever go that route.I don't even know how to send a PM on here tbh. Got Twitter? Drop your @ and I'll message you on there.

Thanks, mate.
Needs 1 more slim fan at the top, a second fan on the heatsink and the cables on the bottom right tidying up. Other than that, I consider it a work of art.

What a setup.
Saw that yesterday. Amazing. Even got a projector.
I’m disappointed by the PC. All that cash on the set up and no custom loop?
SLI 1080Ti’s being choked in a glass case, a shitty Cooler Master AIO on a Threadripper CPU.
Awful.

By reilo Go To PostI got into the Nvidia Geforce NOW Beta. What is that?
Okay uhm, real quick: quite impressive. It's beta, so it crashed a couple of times on me.
There is, however, some clear input lag, so I wouldn't expect to play a competitive FPS with it. If I wanted to play the latest/greatest PC game without building a tower though? This is honestly an impressive alternative. TBF, I don't know how much it costs, so all that varies depending on what that subscription fee will be.
And looks like the jagged edges with retina can be solved easily: https://forums.geforce.com/default/topic/1018851/solution-for-retina-display-scaling-issues-/
By Kibner Go To PostWhat is that? It's basically a streaming service to play desktop games through Steam and Battle.net where you get to play any game you own over your accounts on the latest Nvidia hardware. You know how you and I played Diablo 3 not too long ago and I struggled to get 30fps on decent settings? This allows me to play it at max everything at a full 60fps. No hitch.

Looks like there's an "Ultra Streaming Mode" so I'll give that a shot.
Also, the target PC it booted up for me didn't have Tomb Raider (2013) installed, so I had to install it via Steam and it took a whopping 3mins at 175MB/s.

Yeah, input lag would probably add a minimum of ~50 ms of input lag at best (15 ms to get to the data center, 20 ms to encode, 15 ms to reach back to you again) to whatever the input lag on your display is. That's fine for any game that doesn't require precise timing.

That's fine for any game that doesn't require precise timing.fortunately a lot of the games that require really low latency (e-sports stuff) have pretty low requirements, so you could buy a cheap system and play those on it, then use a streaming service to play a lot of the higher end stuff. I still prefer all my stuff to run on my hardware but it could still be a decent solution for a lot of people.
Yea, I wouldn't mind this until I have the budget to build a proper PC (and while GPUs are insanely expensive). Caveat being however much the service ends up costing.
Finally happy with this.
Replaced the Cougar 92mm case fan and the brown/beige Noctua on the heatsink for two Noctua redux fans. Added a third slim Noctua fan as an exhaust at the top of the case.
Temps are great, little high at idle, but the CPU stays under 60c at load and the GPU stays under 80c.
Noise at idle is non-existent. Genuinely can't hear it running unless I'm playing a game and the GPU fans spin up.
By Laboured Go To PostWhatever happened to those lovely 4K. 144hz, HDR. Gsync monitors we were supposed to be getting?AUO delayed the panel, should be coming soon.

They were announced way too early. I'm not making any significant move until we get these new panels, it's been stagnant for way too long.

Been waiting for over a year now. Not cool.
Almost 2 years later my Dell SD2716DG is selling for £175 more than I paid
Was meant to be a stop gap. Crazy that I might break even when I eventually sell it

Hah yeah I have the U2515H and was surprised to see that also being more than what I paid for it, 3 years ago.
My AVG Internet Security 2012 expires in a few days, and I've been looking for good Internet security suites. What do you guys use?

case is on point and looks really good, but a bunch of weird design choices.
my air 540 getting up there, would love to replace it this year.

I haven't seen an ATX size case top the Fractal Meshify C yet. In looks or airflow.
Makes me kinda sad to see Meshify C builds because every time I do, I question why I chose to go with a small form factor PC over a full size build with it.
By Laboured Go To PostI'm pretty glad PC hardware has become purely about aesthetics.
I'm glad graphics cards don't look like this anymore too.
