I watched a standard Bluray for the first time in a long time after watching nothing but UHD Blus since I got my OLED. Between HDR missing and non 4k (even if most are upscaled), I absolutely can tell the difference. On the plus, even 1080p Blus look really good on the set.
That's reassuring to know. Taylor Sheridan has to be one of the most interesting writers out there.
Shame that last year's Wind River didn't get much attention, it was seriously good.
Whenever 'well made' is the first thing someone says about anything, I unfairly assume that the product is heartless, methodical and ultimately hollow.
I think that, in this case, it has to do more with the fact that we're talking about a sequel without Denis Villeneuve and Roger Deakins.
In other news, Incredibles 2 is on it's way to obliterate all previous opening weekends by animated movies in the US.
It's looking at a high 60s-low 70s Friday while previous record holder, Finding Dory, did 55M.

TAG was one the funniest action comedy movies I have seen in awhile. Yeah you read that right. It’s an action comedy
The Accountant was a dope movie. My dude was out here number crunching by day, and hitting people with the max damage headshots at night
I ate a small edible (eggs) before I went into Hereditary. By Act 2, that shit snapped me right out of my high. Lol.
It's a good film. I appreciated it more before the Polanski influence weighed its' heaviest.

The Accountant was a pretty good film, yes. Never understood the hate.
Yes, a lot of great screenplays. Wind River is superb. Hell or High Water too
By LFMartins86 Go To PostAlways thought Taylor Sheridan was a woman. lol

I watched click since it was on amazon prime and I'd heard good stuff about it.
Neat idea but the Sandler humor really weighs it down. But Kate Beckinsale is a perfect creature.

Just saw Hereditary. Bit disappointed really. Good film, competently made, does well in trading cheap scares for a ratcheting up of tension but its narratively lazy after a really good first hour. Collette is very good, but it’s not a patch on The Witch.
The bits where The Accountant is doing accounts are pretty bad. Just mumbling random accountancy words like tax payable and depreciation in no real order.
Will watch a lot of movies this week, hopefully. Hereditary, The Incredibles 2, Isle of Dogs and Matar a Jesús (Colombian film)
I need to recommend a movie for all of you. Find a way to watch "The Guest" from 2014. Imagine if Jason Bourne showed up a random family's home and began to integrate himself into their lives...
I watched Ready Player One and it was worse than I thought it was going to be.
I'm still actually trying to process it.

Some people can read War and Peace and come away thinking it's a simple adventure story...
Others can read the ingredients on a chewing gum wrapper and unlock the secrets of the universe.

My guy I’ve been bumping Anthonio since 2014
That reminds me on how excited I was about Adam Wingard secretly doing a Blair Witch movie...yeah, that didn't turned out as I expected.
He was on such a great run with You're Next and The Guest but hasn't seem to have gotten back on track since then and I can't really see his Godzilla vs Kong being that good.

Some old school Dutch glory in there with Clan of Xymox. Love that movie
Watched Downsizing. I'm sure a good film could be made with this concept but this certainly wasn't one of them.
Beyond Skyline was an entertaining B movie. Far better than the original but that was to be expected since it has Frank Grillo and Iko Uwais.
Ford’s classic battle against Ferrari will finally get the major motion picture treatment with Matt Damon positioned to play Carroll Shelby. Some might remember rumblings of this movie getting made in 2013 with Tom Cruise taking Shelby’s spot, but movie making sometimes isn’t exactly a seamless process.http://autoweek.com/article/car-life/matt-damon-will-play-carroll-shelby-upcoming-movie
“Logan” director James Mangold is currently tapped to direct the currently untitled Ford versus Ferrari biopic. Mangold isn’t the only superhero star to cross over to reality -- Christian Bale, of “Batman” fame, and Jon Bernthal from “The Punisher” TV series will also be involved. Bale will play racer and GT40 test driver Ken Miles, with Bernthal playing Lee Iacocca.
Hereditary started quite nicely, then went to the shitter
Matar a Jesús was alright, nothing extraordinary. The best was the acting of the co-star.

I can't imagine it being worse than the last one. I watched it at my dad's house on TV the other day and by the end of it I was angry at how dumb it is

right lol
That MF was mean too.
The entire DC experience was on point. Probably raising my opinion of the movie higher than what it actually is because of it.
